  • Bonnie Will Be Back. Inside Look on Lizzy Musi’s Crash at NPK Tucson

People who are seen as idols and are held to higher standards can be vulnerable and they are still human. That’s true for Lizzy Musi, and her car, Bonnie, who have been going through some challenges recently. Photo by Lizzy Musi The Pat Musi Racing Engines-powered Camaro and the team have been close to flawless to win over Ryan Martin at NPK’s Tucson Invitational. Eventually, though, it would feel like everything had worked its way out. After countless hours by the crew spent getting the car right after some “unpredictable” tendencies that would have the machine swerving to the side unpredictably. In fact, the racer says that she was pretty nervous making the pass after the adjustments were made as the car seemed to want to put her in some pretty dangerous situations. However, after putting in the hours, both Musi and her crew seemed to think that they had the machine figured out after working some late hours to get the car fixed and they were ecstatic after making it through the first round of the race. Musi lineup up against Ryan Martin's Fireball Camaro and, as the lights went green, it looked like she would score a comfortable win. However, the substantial lead would quickly turn into a nightmare as the suspension issues that they thought were ironed out appeared to come back, jerking the car to the side and sending Musi into the wall. Not only that but the car would slide across the track and hit the other wall as well. Photo by Lizzy Musi Racing Youtube Following the incident, Lizzy got head pain but posts to her Facebook page imply that she will be back racing very soon. The video below posted to Lizzy Musi Racing gives us an idea of exactly what the driver and her crew went through that weekend. Photo by Lizzy Musi Facebook Videos like this really give us the inside look on how the highs of the successful run to the lows of the crash and all of the effort that they go through in order to bring fans the best product possible. • Daddy Dave vs Ryan Martin Race Controversy at No Prep Kings Palm Beach

When the cameras get rolling for Street Outlaws or pretty much any reality TV show that one sees on television, a lot of conversation is cut out of the final product. As a producer of such a show, there’s a lot to think about before it makes it to TV screens. In an effort to maintain the audience’s attention, creating drama and getting rid of the fluff are definitely two priorities which is understandable. However, sometimes, it’s just nice to hear some of our favorite competitors from Street Outlaws speaking at length without editing coming into the mix. With a pairing like Daddy Dave and Ryan Martin, these buddies from the 405 don’t usually have a ton of drama thrown in each other’s direction. They’ve raced each other so many times that each one knows how fast the other is and generally if they do face off with one another, it’s a pretty straight-up and honest affair. Photo by Discovery UK So what exactly was it that stirred the pot between Daddy Dave and Ryan Martin at No Prep Kings Palm Beach? After we watched the pair go down the track, something seemed to be a little bit amiss when the win light went on for Dave. Dave certainly isn’t a stranger to winning but when his car appeared to be about a car length behind Martin’s, this is when things got a little bit questionable. As confirmed by the next pair of competitors, this issue happened due to a light malfunction. Fortunately, these guys are friendly, otherwise, that definitely could’ve spun its way into a whole situation that ended in a rerun. Down in the video below, though, we get a little bit more detail about exactly what happened and how it was handled. After getting the win light, it has to be difficult to hand over the win, even if you are pretty confident that there was a timing system malfunction. In fact, we wouldn’t be shocked if a competitor was able to force a re-run due to the error. Video by Discovery UK However, it looks like all was friendly after the race as Martin would go on to race in the next round to continue to compete for the event win. Video by Ohio Grudge Racing

Mike was racing Ryan in Round 2 of the Invitational at the Summit Motorsport Park in Norwalk, Ohio when his car caught fire. Ryan Martin had a very easy job passing in the second round of this No Prep Kings Norwalk on Summit Motorsports Park when Cody Baker made huge mistake after the start. For Mike, after one incredible first round passing one of the fastest drivers from 405 Jeff Lutz and his GTO, in second round there was an accident for him. Video by Upshift Shortly after Mike’s crash, photos of the aftermath were published online, and they weren’t pretty. Despite the damage to his car, Mike said that he was just happy to have made it out alive. The Street Outlaws star captioned a photo of the charred sports car. Photo by Mike Murillo Racing Mike described the wreck as a “nightmare,” but he assured fans that he was safe and sound, adding: “Well this thing kinda happened this past weekend. Our team just now got to our destination here in Ohio to where we can lie our heads and attempt to sleep this nightmare off. Unfortunately it’s still gonna be our reality when we wake up. Until then.. “I’m OK physically, for the most part, and that is truly what counts. But we shall discuss the content of these pictures and what we are going to do about it after some much-needed rest. Thank you for all the outreach from everyone and y’all truly make us feel loved,” the reality TV star wrote. Photo by Mike Murillo Racing According to reports, Mike was taken to the hospital and released after his injuries were assessed. Photo by Mike Murillo With the help of Justin Swanstrom’s Dad and Swangang, Mike was able to exit the vehicle before he was hurt. • Kye Kelley Throws Down with Jim Howe at NPK Norwalk

For the second week in a row, we don’t see Ryan Martin and the gray Fireball Camaro went home with the overall victory. Despite bad performance at Bandimere Speedway last No Prep Weekend, this week they are back in the Great 8 Final against Jerry Bird and grab $15,000, plus 20 points to the leading points. However, Ryan Martin managed to get himself out of Invitational Finals because of the red light at the starting line. This is the second time after Bandimere, Ryan has lost a race due to the same problem, jumping on the red light while racing the guy in the lane next to him. Kye Kelley passed thru the final overtaking Kallee Mills and her sick Camaro – Golden Kong. Jim Howe came out swinging this season with the Guardian as he got the win over Justin Swanstrom and his bad to the bone Lexus. Photo by Howe Motorsports The final itself suggests that Kye might be able to reduce the points advantage that Ryan has at the moment and if he is able to get in front of Jim, well things might be much more interesting in the next few events that follow. Photo by No Prep FAM Follow along with the video down below from No Prep FAM as it takes us to the scene of the action, showing Kelley in his natural habitat as he goes up against Jim Howe who is also hungry for the win. Let’s watch the finals between Kye Kelley and Jim Howe as a Nitrous battles a Screw Blower for the $40 000 dollars and some very important points Video by No Prep FAM With the win, Jim Howe received the $40,000 purse. He got 20 points and now moved up to 13th spot, despite missing five races in this Championship season. That’s so impressive result for Howe Motorsports. Ryan is still leading the points with 560 points, basically 11 rounds over Kye Kelley that follows with 450 points. Photo by No Prep FAM

  • JJ Da Boss' NEW ZIPTIE Is Back On Track

One of the most talked about racers in the beginning of this year has surely been JJ Da Boss and his wife’s terrible crash during the filming of America’s List. When JJ Da Boss and his wife crashed into each other after going across the finish line, an oil spill caused a fire inside JJ’s car and in the confusion, he swerved and hit Tricia’s car pushing it into the staff cars that were parked to absorb the impact in the concrete barrier. This terrible accident left Tricia with quite a few injuries while JJ has some severe burns to his face and hands. Photos by Muscle Car Mayhem Instagram Soon after this accident, these guys appeared on the show and shocked everybody by repairing his car and getting him right back in the seat. Photo by JJ Da Boss MSO Instagram Because of the injuries, Tricia Day was in no hurry to get back to racing and all she could do is help the team with their Street Outlaws Endgame build, however, during this time the MSO crew was working on getting Ziptie back in the races, be it on the street or at the track. A video by TheReal Streetoutlaws has showed us she joined a Ziptie testing on the street in front of their house a week ago and Ziptie sounds really cool! Video by TheReal Streetoutlaws Youtube Now we get to see the old school back in action at the arm drop race in Alabama where it is debuting once again in front of a huge crowd that came to see some racing. • Update on Big Chief and Caddy Jack. What Is He Up To Now?

We were introduced to Caddy Jack, Big Chief’s Cadillac CTS-V a while back and have watched as the car progressed from a bone-stock factory hotrod to a legitimately badass street/strip killer. We don’t know the full details of the build, since keeping details like that on the hush is a key part of grudge racing. However, we do get a rare glimpse at the car’s actual quarter mile performance potential when Chief’s “hired driver”, Jackie, takes the car through the traps with the scoreboards on. Photo by Midwest Street Car Youtube Nowadays, Jackie has taken an even more hands-on role in the Street Outlaws world than ever before, and her latest toy, an 8-second quarter-mile-running 2014 CTS-V named "Caddy Jack" is posed to take her to even greater heights in the racing world. The crew over at National No Prep Racing Association takes us along for the ride as Caddy Jack makes a couple of passes at Thunder Valley. If the thunderous performance isn’t enough to win you over, the scream from the car really pushes this thing over the top. It helps out big time that Lady Chief seems to have her act together behind the wheel. Maybe she’ll even give Chief a run for his money one of these days! Photo by Midwest Street Car Youtube Video by National No Prep Racing Association This time, we ride along with a vlog from the racer as he takes us along for the ride, sharing a couple of updates about what he’s been up to. These updates range in subject matter from how he’s been updating his shop with a little bit of maintenance to what’s going on with his cars. In this particular video, we get the opportunity to learn a little bit about how he has been upgrading his bright red Chevrolet Corvette and what kind of modifications are happening to the Cadillac CTS-V known as “Caddy Jack.” Photo by Big Chief 405 Check out the below video as he tells us about some of the most recent steps in his racing journey. • Street Outlaws End Game Comes to The End!

The Street Outlaws have come to make quite a name for themselves on the Discovery channel – even launching spin-offs such as Street Outlaws: Fastest in America and most recently Street Outlaws: End Game, which first premiered back in July. Photo by Discovery UK Fans of the series are currently watching stars JJ Da Boss, Murder Nova, Kye Kelley, Axman and Ryan Martin fix up old cars and get them ready for street racing. Photo by Discovery UK Photo by Murder Nova Youtube The Street Outlaws: Memphis star JJ Da Boss recruited his kids to gear up his 1996 Chevy II Nova, aka Ziptie, for his upcoming competition. Photo by Street Outlaws Vids Axman rebuilt a 1934 Ford V-8 Deluxe from a field on his property. Back in the day, these were known as "Bonnie and Clyde" cars. Photo by Discovery UK Kye Kelley made attempts on several different vehicles before deciding on “Claude Banks,” a 1987 Buick Regal. Photo by Kye Kelley Instagram The show is nice by connecting 5 guys that fans never thought would be on the same team: Kye Kelley, JJ Da Boss, Murder Nova, Ryan Martin and last but not least, Axman. They had a blast working together as a team to race during this End Game series. By following along with the Kelley’s Vlog channel at Kye Kelley Racing, fans are waiting for the last episode of End Game, when it all comes down to Claude Banks Regal to race 30 Las Vegas Locals. • Robin Roberts Win The Bandimere Great 8 Due to Ryan Martin’s Mistake

Street Outlaws NPK racers John Odom and Robin Roberts battle it out in the Great 8 finals at Bandimere Speedway for $15,000. At one time, both John Odom and Robin Roberts want nothing to do with Street Outlaws No Prep Kings but the win at Bandimere Speedway in Morrison, Colorado. Robin Roberts defeated Kye Kelley, while John Odom won over Ryan Martin in the semi-finals to advance to the final with Robin Roberts. Fans are arguing about one of the rarest things at Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings event, when Ryan Martin jump red, meaning that Fireball Camaro move before the green came on! • Update on Lizzy Musi Crash at NPK Tucson

Lizzy Musi enjoyed and endured the highs and lows of racing and life within a single day as the “Street Outlaws No Prep Kings” series stormed through Arizona out at Tucson Dragway last weekend. Musi, in her Robert Hayes Race Cars-built 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, known as “Bonnie,” shot out ahead, securing what would have been a solid win against Ryan Martin in the Fireball Camaro when she appeared to lose control of Bonnie. Unfortunately, she struck the barrier on the driver's side then crossed the lines over to the other lane, hitting the opposite concrete barrier on the passenger side. Lizzy Musi was sent to the hospital for a routine evaluation, but thankfully there was no immediate injury. Photo by Upshift 360 Lizzy’s car after the crash at NPK Tucson 2022 Video by Upshift 360 In an Instagram post from her father, Pat Musi, he assured fans she was doing OK. After thanking them for their concern, Pat began by letting everyone know that Lizzy "got the second-round win over Ryan Martin." It's a bit strange to start with the race results then ease into Lizzy's health status from there. "She got out of the car on her own and was taken to the hospital for observation and released," he said. Pat went on to give the car's design a shoutout because it was craftmanship that kept Lizzy safe. "The Robert Hayes-built car and all the safety equipment did its job," said Pat. According to him, the car is currently being repaired and they will be back. Photo by Pat Musi Racing Engine Instagram At the moment the Nola couple Lizzy Musi and Kye Kelley are the only ones that can put Ryan’s championship in danger just like last year when they did not manage to keep the gray Fireball Camaro behind them at the races. Photo by Discovery UK As you may or may not know, it was a final like no other and instead of the usual suspects, we had Kyla Morton and John Odom racing for the $40,000 prize. While Kyla Morton had proven to be the fastest car in the competition, we believe that the fastest car on the property is featured in the video that we are bringing you, so in a way, this is the finals before the finals since these two are the cars to beat at Tucson this weekend. Photo by Kayla Morton Racing "Hot Mess Express" Facebook Photo by Kayla Morton Racing "Hot Mess Express" Facebook After this weekend we still have Ryan Martin at the top of the leaderboard with 500 points, being followed, not so closely, by Kye Kelley with 380 points, and then it’s Lizzy Musi from Justin Swanstrom with Scott Taylor rounding up the top five. Photo by No Prep FAM So let us check out the race and see who gets in trouble at the big end. Video by Upshift 360 The “No Prep Kings” series will be back in action this weekend in Morrison, CO at Bandimere Speedway for one of the last 5 events of this year.

  • Jeff Lutz’s FIRST EVER WIN Against Big Chief

When we’re talking Street Outlaws season with big names showing up, we can expect that there will be plenty of drama. This comes not only behind-the-scenes but also on the track. These guys are really the best in the business and are going to bring their A-game to the table. This ends up creating some matchups that we have absolutely got to see. This season of Street Outlaws features Jeff Lutz and Big Chief working together as a team much closer than the rest of the guys. Additionally, this might be the race that holds one of them back from America’s List. Just the other day, when Big Chief was going to race Ryan Martin, it was Jeff Lutz in Chief’s corner trying to help him figure out what they are going to do when it came to the starting light. Even Ryan knew that these guys are so close that Jeff will tell Chief everything he hears from him about the starting procedure and whether Ryan will jump, sit or just go on time whenever the light turns on. Two of the most beloved cars on the show faced off recently and threw down one of the best side by side races we’ve seen. They both need the win so they can secure their spot on America’s List and at the moment both of them can end up staying in Oklahoma as the rest of the 405 racers like Ryan Martin, Daddy Dave, Monza, and whoever wins this travel around the country representing the 405. In a true team-like decision, Chief lets Jeff choose his preferred lane and ends up in the left. While Ryan Martin has shown that you can go extremely fast in both lanes, we have to realize that not all cars are as capable as that Fireball Camaro and not all of these guys have the right tune for both lanes. Jeff Lutz and Big Chief take the stage once again in Chicago to see who qualifies for the next 405. Both of them will be turning the power way up, on their machines and push the limit of what this road can take, because like we said this might be the deciding race of who gets to race with the best in the country, and who gets to stay home and watch the rest of the 405 on TV, so check out this great race and enjoy. • 405 Hits the Streets in Street Outlaws Endgame

Street Outlaws gives viewers an inside look into the world of American street racing. It shows the best mechanics, engineers and drivers showing off their skills. Well, “End Game” refers to a new Street Outlaws series the gang are filming right now that’s joined by 405, NOLA, Memphis team and so on. Photo by Street Outlaws Facebook Fans have spotted some drivers posting a lot recently on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag “End Game” as they were building their car for this spin-off, such as Murder Nova, Ryan Martin, Kye Kelley, JJ Da Boss… When fans take a look at the competition on Street Outlaws, plenty probably don’t exactly realize just how much effort it takes to be successful in just about any form of racing. Sure, we see a small subset of what it takes to win on the television show. However, TV doesn’t even come close to showcasing the effort that is spent behind the scenes, making sure the car is ready for race day. Photo by Speed Society After a few exciting weeks building and testing, their new ride is a state-of-the-art race car that’s going to shake up the Street Outlaws End Game. Today, it is time to finally see the cars in action and find out who’s got what it takes to leave Vegas with a purse of about one hundred thousand dollars. We have been paying close attention to the builds and it appears that these guys had different ways to build their street cars that will be racing in the Street Outlaws Endgame competition. Photo by Speed Society As fan favorites, Murder Nova and Ryan Martin have extra incentive to do what it takes to stay at the front of the pack. With that, there is certainly a ton of time and money spent to make sure that their cars are on top of its game at any given time. JJ always tries to mention how rich Ryan Martin is and how he has all the money in the world put into his racecars. However, it appears that Ryan Marin and Shawn “Murder Nova” Ellington have picked wrong transmission and gearing of their build. And that is about to show once they put up their cars against the competition. Photo by Murder Nova Facebook Kye Kelley being Kye Kelley, went all out for the race part of this build so he has shown up with a car that is not even able to charge its battery, and that puts him a step closer to the grand prize of one hundred thousand dollars than the other guys. Photo by Kye Kelley Racing Just like Ryan Martin and Kye Kelley, JJ figured out this type of show that requires a street build is one of the greatest opportunities that he can make power in great shape and his Gray Goose will show amazing passes.

  • Justin Swanstrom Path to The Victory at NPK Tulsa

As the summer comes to a close, we’re happy to say that there are still a couple of months of good racing left. With that said, though, we are about three-quarters of the way through the current No Prep Kings season which has graced us with a ton of awesome action to look back on. Photo by No Prep Facebook With a few weeks off, everyone is ready to see these hot rods light up the racetrack and the score boards. This time, thanks to National No Prep Racing Association, we take a look back to see Justin Swantrom path to the victory at Tulsa Raceway Park. The event that unfolded on the first weekend in August had a ton for fans to really look forward to. Photo by Justin Swanstrom Facebook A rising star in the No Prep Kings series, Swanstrom has taken on the role to build a name for himself. At 26 years old, Swanstrom has raced in a variety of classes, but he has his heart set on No Prep Kings and he’s ready to battle his way into the spotlight. At the time, Swanstrom seemed to be having quite a bit of a string of bad luck. In the event prior to this one, he actually was involved in a pretty catastrophic accident that saw his car taking on heavy damage and even catching on fire. Fans were pretty surprised, though, to see just how quickly Lil Country would be able to turn things around, getting the car repaired and making his way to the very next event just a few weeks later. Photo by Justin Swanstrom Facebook This time, we follow along with the racer as he takes on a couple of very formidable opponents. At first, after a test hit, of course, we watch as Swanstrom goes head-to-head with Chuck Seitsinger and his Mustang. After that, we get to see Swanstrom take on the competitors that some might consider the hardest beat in Kye Kelley and Daddy Dave. Lastly, Swanstrom finds his way next to the viral Camaro from Pat Musi Engine to see who has what it takes to push their way to the finish line first. Photo by Justin Swanstrom Instagram Video by National No Prep Association Youtube Behind the driver, there is a rapidly growing fanbase. Swanstrom has grown his brand on social media and promotes the series as a whole. “The fans are crazy for No Prep Kings and I think that’s the best part about it is because the fans is what keeps it going,” Swanstrom says. “I think No Prep has the best fans out of all racing out there…No Prep is going to continue to succeed and get better and better every year and I hope to be just a little part of it.” Photo by Justin Swanstrom Facebook
