  • $500 or 50 Push Ups! Ryan Martin Forced To Do Push Ups After Losing A Race

For three years in a row, Ryan Martin has been at the top of the No Prep Kings game and has won three consecutive championships with two different cars. He has worked hard for all three of them and nobody has been able to deny this. Last year he also secured the top spot on America’s list by battling all the fastest guys in the country and being able to outperform all of them behind the wheel of the red Fireball Camaro that he uses for street racing. This season of Street Outlaws Oklahoma, things have changed dramatically and these guys have decided to go back to their roots and small tire racing, meaning that Ryan will not be able to use any of the two fastest No Prep cars in America. Instead, he has built a brand-new car which let’s face it, has not been as dominant on the street as the other two have been over the years. Photo by Discovery While he has always been one of the humblest guys on the racing scene, it appears that this season he will have to do even better than that because of the lack of dominance that we are used to, and so has he. When he went to head with Rob Chapman, who some know better as BigRob Entertainment, the stipulation on the line was one unlike any that we’ve ever seen before. Up for grabs was $500 which is nothing new for a grudge race. However, the alternative to paying up that $500 is something that was fresh. If the loser didn’t want to hand over cash, they would be able to pay their debt in the form of push-ups. How it would go is that the loser would pay for 50 push-ups instead of $500. Therefore, each push-up is worth $10 and if the loser failed to do all 50, they would have to pay the difference in cash. Seems like a straightforward setup, so all that was left to do was race! Photo by Discovery Down below, we check in as the pair goes head-to-head, and apparently, Martin forgot to turn the nitrous on. The race was close but Martin ended up losing and having to get down and start doing some exercise. The scene is definitely worthy of putting a smile on fans’ faces as the entire crew appears to be having a good time. Even Martin, who said that he learned he needs to get back in the gym, seemed to have enjoyed the friendly competition that ended with a couple of push-ups. Video by Discovery

  • What You Didn’t Know about Fast N’ Loud’s Richard Rawlings

Reality television, while entertaining, usually only gives us part of the picture when it comes to those who are featured on the show. In fact, many times, reality TV has even been accused of casting a story that isn’t exactly real as there are writers who script interesting situations for the audience to sink their teeth into. In any case, some reality stars find their way to the hearts of audiences all across the nation. Richard Rawlings of Fast N’ Loud is certainly one of those individuals. Even though he has been a bit polarizing, the reality TV star who rose to fame for customizing “bad ass hot rods” has certainly built himself a following that will stick around even after the TV cameras have stopped rolling. This time, though, we take a little bit of a different look at Rawlings who some might forget has a life outside of reality television as well. Rawlings has been described as a businessman before anything else so, in this particular video from Tuna No Crust, we dive into how exactly that plays into his life. The video also touches on other parts of Rawlings’s life that fans might find interesting. Some of the topics of discussion in this one include how his relationship with Discovery came to be. The video also takes a trip into how Rawlings developed an eye for what’s cool in the car community, his personal life, and his familiarity with the racing scene and how that might’ve played into a storyline that he shared with the guys over on Street Outlaws. In the video below, we check in with a side of Rawlings that many might not know. Hopefully, with a video like this, fans of the entertainer can get to know him just a little bit better. • Lizzy Musi Preparing for “Street Outlaws No Prep Kings” Season 6 after Rumors and Dramas

The 2023 Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings season might not start until June for Lizzy Musi and the Musi Racing team, but the team has been hard at work this off-season in preparation for a big year. Photo by Street Outlaws Lizzy Musi, father Pat, and the Musi Racing team have been hard at work this off-season preparing for the “Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings” season six kickoff in June. That means plenty of testing from the end of March until the first race of the season in June, plus putting the finishing touches on a second “Bonnie” ’69 Camaro. The new car from Robert Hayes is expected to be done before the season starts, giving the team plenty of options and plenty of parts for the NPK season. “We’re going to continue to keep our heads down and pay attention to what we’re doing,” Pat Musi said. “Everyone on the team is ready and we’re working on a lot of things. We’re going to stay focused and we’re going to be testing a lot more. Everyone is ready to start testing and we’re loaded for bear.” Photo by Pat Musi Racing Engines Musi praised the team’s commitment this off-season, putting in the time to ensure a strong 2023 campaign for the Musi Racing team. There’s plenty of more work to be done in the meantime, too, and Musi has been impressed with the eagerness everyone has shown. That starts with the driver, Lizzy Musi, who is energized for a bounce back year, and it continues on down to everyone on the team. The team posted a solid season a year ago, advancing to a pair of final rounds and earning a top 10 finish, but the team has reemphasized the importance of testing in hopes of racing for wins and a championship. “Whatever it takes, Lizzy’s committed, that’s for sure. Nobody gets it more than her,” Pat Musi said. “She knows what she has to do and she’s on board. Our team, everyone is ready and they’re all excited going into the new year. Having a proven car and having a new car, it’s exciting and a good position to be in. You need to have two cars in this deal. Anything can happen and you have so many races in a row.” That will definitely be the case as the 2023 Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings season starts on June 2-3 at National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio. That kicks off a stretch of five straight race weekends to open the year, which places a huge importance on getting off to a quick start. That’s been the emphasis of the Musi Racing team already and Musi has also been quick to applaud the partners that have helped make it happen, including new partners like Lemons Headers and Red Line Oil, as well as returning partners such as ACL Bearings, Jesel Valvetrain, Newell INX, TMS Titanium, Penske/PRS, VP Racing, and many more. Strange Engineering has also been a key partner this offseason, supplying parts for the new car and overall team support. The support from all of Musi Racing’s sponsors has led to plenty of momentum for the team, and Musi is looking forward to putting it all in action on the track. “The biggest thing we’ve got to do is test,” Musi said. “We didn’t do enough of that last year, and Lizzy and everyone on the team know the importance of it. Luckily, we’ve got a lot of great supporters and everyone involved is helping. This whole team is getting after it. We’ve been on the dyno all winter and we’re going to be ready.”

  • Recent Update on Lizzy Musi and Bonnie Camaro

There are a couple of names on the No Prep Kings circuit that just can’t be left out of the “top dog” conversation. Let’s just say that Lizzy Musi is one of those drivers that you can really count on to make a push for the win. There has been a lot of controversy regarding Pat Musi, Lizzy Musi and Kye Kelley since last season. There has been also a lot of rumors regarding what Lizzy Musi wants to do this season whether she was going to run Bonnie Camaro from her father or switch to a screw blower car. Up until now, we haven’t heard any public announcement, however, at the upcoming No Prep Kings season, Pat Musi has recently set for Fourth Year of Partnership with ACL Bearings in 2023. It means we still can see Lizzy Musi and her Bonnie showing her strong in the coming No Prep Kings season 6. Photo by Pat Musi Racing Engine The partnership between Pat Musi Racing Engines and ACL Bearings continues to be a strong one, as the company’s ACL RACE Series performance engine bearings will be the Official Engine Bearing of Pat Musi Racing Engines for a fourth straight year. The burgeoning partnership continues to be impressively beneficial to both companies, with Pat Musi and his team designing a custom engine bearing for his applications. By working closely with ACL Bearings, the custom engine bearings have been highly successful in the racing world for Musi and the Musi Racing team, and ACL Bearings continues to enjoy the benefits of its first major drag racing sponsorship. With Musi continuing to push the envelope when it comes to engine innovation, he knows the importance of a bearing that can hold up to his high-performance demands. ACL Bearings has showcased an impressive track record in that area, and Musi has also enjoyed the versatility their product provides. Photo by Pat Musi Racing Engine Whether it’s Musi’s massive 959-powered nitrous engines or the Edelbrock/Musi 555 Crate Engine, Musi trusts the custom bearing set the two companies worked together to develop. It’s a ready-to-use product and has drawn rave reviews in the sport.

  • Street Outlaws No Prep Kings vs Australia Ready to Kick Off

Many times we have mentioned how the Street Outlaws show, has brought the scene of America’s street racing to literally every part of the world, and the things that are happening with the show at the moment are only confirming our assumptions. Yes, the Street Outlaws decided to go all the way across the world to find others like them and to do what competitive people with fast cars do, race and see who will be the winner. The first news that we hear from down under is that all except two racers have brought their small tire cars to Australia in order to compete with the local racers and to be honest, we were kind of surprised by this move since we have all seen that the Australians have some really fast big tire cars. Granted, most of them use their big tire cars on the track and not on the streets of Australia, so maybe this was the reason that the Street Outlaws decided to represent the United States of America, with their small tire cars. Perth Motorplex Australia. Photos by Fireball Camaro As we said, two racers are sticking out of the crowd, and have brought their big tire cars and those are, Robin Roberts and Jeff Lutz. Considering their results in the No Prep Kings, these are arguably two of the fastest twin turbo cars that the Street Outlaws guys are running at the moment, with Jeff Lutz finishing in fourth place, with no other twin turbo car ranking higher than him. Photo by Robin Roberts Racing The Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings Australian tour kicks off at the Perth Motorplex on 24th February, with further stops at Willowbank, Sydney Dragway and Calder Park in the coming weeks. A cavalcade of American stars from the hit Discovery Channel show, including Kye Kelley, Lizzy Musi, Shawn Ellington and Jeff Lutz, are here to take on some of the best racers Australia has to offer. Photo by Robin Roberts Racing The No Prep Kings Australian sojourn has certainly created a buzz. However, in the opinion of some of the local racers I spoke with, giving prospective Aussie contenders such a short lead time and no hard-and- fast rules on car builds or tech has them wondering if Discovery is really looking for a US clean sweep at all four events. There seems to be a suspicion that having Aussie entrants send in applications for consideration by the event promoters isn’t about creating parity for racing; it’s merely about creating good TV. Photo by No Prep That said, the USA team are certainly seasoned racers. Most started on the street, so they know how to set a car up and get down any surface. They’re not going to go out and bomb the tires on the hit; they will have a tune for every track and every weather condition, even if they have never raced on it before. Tuning is about more than just fuel and timing; it’s also shock settings, tire pressure, moving weight around in the car, moving rear four-link bars around, converter or stator changes, and more. So why don’t we check out the video of Jeff Lutz and hear much more about what is going on in Australia. Video by Lutz Race Cars

  • NPK 2023 Day 1 Recap, Jeff Lutz vs John Zappia Big Grudge Race

The much hyped No Prep Kings Street Outlaws production has arrived in Australia with 10 American stars and their cars making the trip over for four televised events across the country. For a while now we have been watching videos of the Street Outlaws and their cars getting ready to take the trip and see how their cars measure up against the racers from half a world away, and now it is time to finally see them in action and find out for ourselves. With their first event due to kick off tonight at the Perth Motorplex, most of the teams took the given opportunity to run a shake down test day to lose any cobwebs collected from the shipping containers. Photo by Dragnew The first day ended in drama with hot favorite Ryan Martin crashing the Phoenix Camaro, Martin was unhurt, but the car will miss the Perth event, but should be repaired for the next round. However, it was very interesting that the U.S racers pretty much destroyed the Australians and seven out of the eight racers were won by the U.S racers. The score ended 7-1 with Justin Swanstrom being the only lost to the U.S Street Outlaws. Photo by Justin Swanstrom While most of the match ups won’t be known until the respective events, the most anticipated locked in show down will be between Jeff Lutz’s Pontiac – one of the few big tire NPK cars that made the trek – and Australian doorslammer legend John Zappia who has pieced together his old steel body Monaro. Legendary Western Australian racer John Zappia's Zaps Rat However, as you are about to see, Jeff Lutz seems to have sweet-talked his way into a deal. He has managed to persuade the racer in the next lane to give him the hit, which with these cars is something you don’t do because it looks like, Jeff stayed there for a few seconds too long and burned him down, before taking off, check it out. • Australia No Prep Kings Bad Wreck at The Racetrack with Kye Kelley!!!

On race day, as it turns out, you win some and you lose some. Some of the victories can be incredibly high and some losses can be incredibly low. Just to throw an overused analogy in there, racing can really be a roller coaster ride that takes you through peaks and valleys, giving you great success and sometimes, defeat that takes a while to get over. As you may know, the much hyped No Prep Kings Street Outlaws production has arrived in Australia with 10 American stars and their cars making the trip over for four televised events across the country. The Australians have proven themselves over and over again as a worthy opponent that just won’t lay over and lose a race, instead, they have been driving and as we are about to see, even overdriving their cars in order to try and defend their racing legacy. Shocker has arrived safe and sound at Perth Australia. Photo by Kye Kelley Racing We catch up with our favorite racers as they are getting ready to let go of the button at Perth’s Premier Motorsport Stadium, a venue located in Kwinana Beach, Western Australia that during the year accommodates an incredible 275 000 visitors. This track used to be called Claremont Speedway and it had a 75-year-long tradition. This track has been renovated at the turn of the millennium to be able to provide many years of safe racing for the locals and the guys that decide to visit it from abroad, like the very popular racer in the right lane, Kye Kelley. Photo by Kye Kelley Racing Unfortunately, as the title is informing us, the local racer is about to have a very bad day after he pushes his car way past the threshold of grip and starts getting sideways extremely fast. This loss of traction was so sudden and violent that the driver had almost no time to get things back in order before he was flying into the wall on the left side, that in turn is about to launch him in the opposite one, causing some serious damage to the vehicle. While the accident was a pretty gnarly lick, this one definitely could’ve been much worse as it looks like the majority of the car is going to be salvageable even though it will be out of commission for some time. I guess that you could say that the silver lining in a situation like this is that the local driver wasn’t injured by the intense accident. That certainly doesn’t look like a fun ride and I guess that all that we can do from here on out is wish that he will be able to get the car back in working order as soon as possible and get back into the seat. • Daddy Dave Plans on Retiring Goliath from NPK?! Exclusive Hint!

With a Street Outlaws fan favorite such as Daddy Dave, his schedule isn’t simple. Instead, there are a ton of different things in motion at once. It can be easy to miss something as Dave is on the road every week, competing in lots of different racing series, each with their own set of challenges. Photo by Daddy Dave Racing Now that the chaos surrounding Daddy Dave’s new racing machine has settled, there are a couple of questions that have been circulating about his racing operation. Instead of American muscle, Dave’s new build has the looks of an Audi which is something that we haven’t seen in the scene just yet. There’s certainly a lot to unpack behind that build as well. As fans get excited and geared up for the quickly approaching No Prep Kings to see the Audi in action, some just simply couldn’t help but wonder what exactly was going to happen to Dave’s now-expired NPK hero, Goliath. The racer had made quite an impact on the NPK circuit with the Chevrolet Nova. As a consistent top competitor, perhaps Goliath would be worth a large sum of money for the right buyer. However, instead of fishing around to see what the iconic Chevy is worth, Dave has other plans. It seems as if he will keep Goliath in action to some extent. Photo by Daddy Dave Racing After taking a bit of a break from YouTube, Dave hopped back on his vlog channel, Daddy Dave Racing, to give fans an update, including the fact that he plans on retiring Goliath from NPK. The car isn’t going to be retired entirely, though, as Dave plans to take it back to the street, the surface that the car was built for. Photo by Daddy Dave Racing In addition, he informed us that the car isn’t going to be ditching its 28-inch small tire setup, either. Much like the current state of the Street Outlaws show that gives fans a little bit of a throwback to simpler times with simpler builds, Dave tells us that Goliath on a 28-inch tire turns the clocks back to the old days. Below, we get the full state of the union on Dave’s garage but it isn’t limited to Goliath. We also get a tour of the Monte Carlo that he has been working on as Dave gives fans the details that they have been hungry for! Video by Daddy Dave Racing

  • Throwback Shows Richard Rawlings CRASH While Testing Car for A Race Against Street Outlaws

One of the wild things about drag racing is that competitors quite know what’s right over the horizon. One moment, everything can be going according to plan and the next, everything is literally going sideways as a machine might fail right underneath its driver and leave that individual in a precarious situation. This time, the stage was set as Street Outlaws would have a pair of awesome machines going head-to-head. As we would later find out, things wouldn’t quite go as according to plan. That aforementioned unexpected change of plans happens to come to light as Richard Rawlings and his car wouldn’t be able to make this thing turn around in his favor. This is the car that the Gas Monkey Garage build for the brand new race against the Street Outlaws, and with it these guys are planning to show the Street Outlaws guys that it is not that hard to make a drag race car, or is it. Photo by DMAX UK While we have seen Richard Rawlings and the guys from his garage make some incredible machines, today they are swimming in water full of sharks, and let us tell you, it is not easy staying above water. With this being the first time the car is at the track, it is normal for it to have a few things that need replacing right then and there as well as things getting setup the correct way. Experienced racers perform this so called shakedown whose purpose is to basically see what stays on the car, what falls off, and what needs fixing or setting up. These guys unwillingly do the same thing because as soon as they start the burnout they start discovering stuff that needs to be setup properly before they are even able to make a safe pass. Unfortunately for these guys, they will not be able to put down a pass, instead they will be pulling the trailer on the very track to load up the car and try to get it ready for the race. Photo by DMAX UK The video down below that shows off the extent of the hard-to-watch situation. Check out what happened, and remember the most important part is that nobody got hurt in the process of this unexpected shakedown. Video by DMAX UK

  • Video: Highlights of No Prep Kings Perth

With next showing of Street Outlaws No Prep Kings nearly upon us at Willowbank Raceway, check out what went down a week ago in Perth. There was a fair bit of carnage on the no prep surface, the American’s won both days – (7 to 1 and 5 to 3) – though the Australians fought back on the second day as they come to terms of what this style of racing is all about. Highlights include Jeff Lutz versus John Zappia. Lutz had the “hit” in their first match up and Zappia couldn’t reel the GTO back in. Their second race was heads up, Lutz again grabbing the win with Zap forced to pedal the Monaro. Young gun Connor Begley scored the most popular win of the event, defeating the OG Murder Nova. • Ryan Martin First Win After The Wreck - Street Outlaws Vs Australia

As many of us know at this point, Ryan Martin and his Phoenix Camaro went down the lanes at the No Prep Kings race at Perth Motorplex only to be met with an abrupt ending. The first-generation Camaro made a move toward the wall when he shut it down. Then he tried to steer out of trouble but the car made contact with the retaining wall. Photo by Fireball Camaro When speaking on what exactly caused the accident, Ryan didn’t seem to have a definitive answer. However, from what Ryan tells us, the damage to his car was a little bit unsightly but things weren’t exactly as bad as they looked. In fact, the boys from Moits Motorcars actually “lent” Ryan his front-end because getting a carbon fiber front-end for a first-generation Camaro in Australia is extremely hard. It means that they actually took the front-end of their own car to put it on Ryan’s car. Photo by Fireball Camaro After being asked if the incident shook Ryan up at all, he seemed to respond in his confidence in the build, specifically the chassis builder, saying that the incident really didn’t shake him at all. Things would seem to turn around as No Prep Kings headed to Willowbank Raceway where Ryan was able to go home with a victory. In the showing, Ryan Martin really broke out his abilities, giving us all the idea that he isn’t going to back down even after a stumble with the Phoenix. Below, Off The Trailer Racing guys were on the scene to show off the racing. As usual, the racing is top notch and something to really grab the old bucket of popcorn and dig into. • Monza VS Felicia Smith - Revenge for Another 405 Racer

One of the things that we can’t help but love about the new season of Street Outlaws is just how varied the field of cars has been so far. This is something that fan favorite, Murder Nova, couldn’t help but point out himself when talking a little bit about a matchup between Monza and Felicia Smith. Photo by Discovery Aside from the fact that both cars in this battle are American-made, the pair of competitors couldn’t be any more different. Even for those who have no idea that Monza is a seasoned professional who is incredibly familiar with the Street Outlaws format and Felicia Smith is a Street Outlaws newcomer who is decades younger, the differences stick out like a sore thumb. Photo by Discovery On one side of this battle, we have Monza’s Pontiac Grand Prix which is incredibly clean and we would venture to think that maybe he spent a good amount of money getting a pristine example but the G-body platform is one that one could get without completely blowing up the bank. In the next lane over, Smith presents something that’s much more modern, a Cadillac CTS-V that’s 50+ years newer and really a whole different ballgame of a machine. This time, though, the polar opposite pair goes head-to-head in the streets to see who, on this particular night, would have what it takes to reign supreme. Below, we check in with that action that makes this season of Street Outlaws special. Let’s just say that the street is the great equalizer whether you’re a newcomer or somebody with a ton of experience on your side. Will Monza be able to get another 405 racer to the next round or is Felicia Smith hiding something up her sleeve to help this big and heavy modern luxury sedan grab a victory over the odds on favorite?
