  • Ryan Martin and The 405 Get Back to Basics with Small Tire Racing

Discovery Channel broadcasted the reality TV series Street Outlaws first back in 2013 and since then the show has gone to many extents to be as real as possible. It lays bare the world of American street racing wherein drivers, mechanics, and more, proudly put their skills to the test. Photo by Discovery When it comes to changing the entire setup of racing, we all know that the producers are likely to follow the directions of the races and this time it appears that they have realized that the small tires races have such a big fan base and they would love to give them what they want. There is no doubt that the small tire cars and their drivers have tons of potential just like their big cousins and it seems that the Pilgrim production has a way to get the racers on their side and into the videos that have managed to get the racers we know now famous beyond their means. In June of this year, it will mark an entire decade since the Street Outlaws made their debut on TV. Of course, the crew from the 405 had been racing long before the cameras started rolling. However, when they made their way to TV, the money really started to come in and things escalated incredibly quickly. Before we knew it, the simple builds on the show that could be replicated in garages across the country got more and more potent to the point where the 405 was sending high-dollar cars down the street. Now, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with this kind of action as a lot of people enjoy watching these incredibly powerful machines make their way down a questionable racing surface in the streets. However, the tides have turned just a little bit to the point where the crew might be devolving in terms of how fast their cars are going to go. Instead, as audiences yearn for a more relatable product, Street Outlaws has taken on a new yet familiar face as small tire builds are hitting the streets once again. In the new season of the OG Street Outlaws show, we’re going to be able to watch some new builds come forward and some familiar faces from back in the day rear their heads once again. Photo by Fireball Camaro This time, we get to check in with that action from the viewpoint of top competitor, Ryan Martin. In this particular video from his vlog channel, Martin takes us along to the Meridian Cruise in OKC. He also takes us to Thunder Valley Raceway in his Chevrolet Camaro small tire car, “Champagne Pappi” to do a little bit of testing and dialing in. The last stop in the video takes us to the filming of the first episode of the new season of Street Outlaws. Photo by Fireball Camaro From the looks of things in the video below, we get a feeling that this season is going to be a great one! Video by Fireball Camaro

  • No Prep Kings Season 5 Ratings Dropped Because of A Street Outlaws Legend Retirement?!

Street Outlaws is one of those shows that always brings us more action than we can ask for. Simply put, the idea of taking high-powered race cars and throwing them on the street to have competitive racers going head-to-head is enough to really keep us glued to our screens. Beyond that, the show also digs into the lives of these competitors and what exactly it means to dedicate themselves to racing on such a high level. The long story short is that it isn’t as simple as hopping behind the wheel of a car and mashing a gas pedal. The result is something that has drawn the attention of fans over a ton of seasons and several different spinoffs shows as well. No Prep Kings is the newest series in the Street Outlaws franchise. No Prep means that nothing has been done to the track to help the drivers out. These roads are rough and untested. One of the biggest changes that we saw in the 2022 season of the No Prep Kings Championship, must have been the change from Team Attack to The Great 8 series. In case you missed the concept during last year, the top 8 drivers in points, race against each other on Friday for a cash prize as well as some points towards the championship. While the points and the cash are a great incentive, the real advantage that the Great 8 racers get against the competition is the additional few runs on the track that gets them more and more data that they can use in the regular No Prep event that follows the Great 8 competition. Some might argue that the ratings are not as important as the level of excitement that the No Prep Kings Championship brings to the fans and that is all good and well, apart from the fact that the producers of these shows rely on the viewership numbers in order to keep the show going. Lucky for the real fans of the No Prep Kings Championship like us, the numbers are not as bad as some might fear, and the following announcement that one of the street racing legends retiring his car is not caused by these numbers. So, who is the driver that has decided to make some big changes? Well, as always, we will let Sim explain it all to us so play the video and find out more.

  • Kye Kelley Vs Lizzy Musi, Fiancé and Fiancée’s Relationship Takes a Turn

Sometimes, there’s nothing better than a little bit of a friendly rivalry to get the adrenaline flowing even more in the heat of the battle. In this particular case, we head out to the No Prep Kings Great 8 where the action is nothing but competitive and unfolded in such a way as to provide us with an interesting storyline for the final round. This time, we follow along with a vlog video from StreetOutlawVids YouTube channel. They take us along for the ride as Kye Kelley goes head-to-head Lizzy Musi. Yes, all eyes were on the action as the racer faced off with his fiancé, Lizzy Musi for the win and the cash. We would guess that the nature of their relationship brought other implications to the face-off as well. While there might be a few couples that have been racing in the No Prep Kings Championship, Kye and Lizzy are not just the most famous, they are the most successful than any other. We all know that Kayla Morton has switched to the Proline-Procharger setup, however, on the other hand, Boosted has not been racing at all this season and thus has kept this couple from getting to the top of the leaderboard like Kye and Lizzy. While we were all focused on the success of the Kye and Lizzy pair, it seems that things are not as perfect in paradise as we thought, and as often is the case, the reason is the parents. Nobody can take away the legendary status of Pat Musi and his incredible success in building racing engines for years, but it seems that he has been the reason for the drama of this power couple that we all like and follow. Photo by Kye Kelley Racing With both cars running as well as they are, it is tough to separate the points chase from the rest of their lives and these guys have started arguing about who would or should have given the win to the other racer, to keep him closer to the guy in the first place, Ryan Martin. Yes, Kye Kelley is fighting for points just like the rest of the racers, and at times it seems that the points might be more important than his personal live. In a situation like this, some might wonder if one competitor or the other would back off. However, prior to the race, Kye tells the camera “I’m here to race for a points championship and whoever is against me is going down.” It was right then that we all knew we were in for quite a treat. So why don’t we join StreetOutlawVids and have Kye Kelley share what the big deal is. Video by StreetOutlawVids

  • Street Outlaws Star AZN Arrested at No Prep Kings!

Street racers have been doing this all their lives, and ever since they started racing, all of them knew that they are breaking the law, but the sheer fun of street racing is bigger than their fear of getting arrested. To be honest with you, we are sure that at one point most of the street racers have had their run in with the law and they have been caught red handed with their hands on the steering wheel of a race car that smells of burned rubber. Photo by National No Prep Racing Association It seems that this time it is AZN’s turn to wear some unwanted jewelry, and this time the whole thing is caught on tape and he has a huge crowd on location to witness his troubles, but fear not, we are sure that he is not going to be hauled to jail for a long time, because we all know that these guys are great showmen. Photo by Farmtruck and AZN Check out below throwback video by National No Prep Racing Association as AZN in Jeepers Creepers gets stopped by police cruiser at Street Outlaws No Prep Kings. • Richard Rawlings Kicks Off 2023 With Amazing Muscle Car Duo!

Richard Rawlings and his Gas Monkey Garage have been on the air for quite some time and over the years his concept of the show has changed like they normally do. The start of a new year is a great time to put a new project or two into motion. YouTubers Gas Monkey Garage & Richard Rawlings do just that by hunting for potential build projects in the Lone Star State. Out of the dozens of tempting classic cars there, only two will go back to the garage. Photo by Gas Monkey Garage & Richard Rawlings This time however it seems that they are back to basics where they find the best muscle cars available for the money and get them ready for the road, or at least for the next customer while making a few bucks. It appears that he is in luck today because the guy he visited to try and find some good deals on classic American Muscle cars has something special for him. Photo by Gas Monkey Garage & Richard Rawlings Richard immediately finds a late 1970s Ford Bronco XLT Free Wheeling that he wants. Then a clean, all-original, numbers-matching 1964 Chevy Chevelle SS convertible distracts him. But a diamond in the rough awaits him behind an old shipping container: a 1966 Pontiac GTO. A previous owner has inexplicably swapped its original four-speed manual for an automatic, and its 454 engine no longer runs. But the potential proves to be irresistible with its iconic profile, cool taillights, deep-dish Cragar wheels, and the complete interior with optional headrests and cushions. Richard understandably loves this Pontiac GTO and decides to buy it. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure they say and it looks like they were quite right when it comes to this ’66 GTO. Photo by Gas Monkey Garage & Richard Rawlings As always, Richard came prepared and he is ready to pay the man and load the 1966 GTO on the trailer to take it to the popular Gas Monkey Garage where he will bring it back to life and flip it very, very, fast as he always does. Before he can do that, however, he needs to choose another vehicle so to find out what kind, check out this great video and see him in action again doing what Richard does best. • Lizzy Musi Is Seeking New Racing Operation for Bonnie Camaro After Calling Off The Wedding

Lizzy Musi was met with mixed reception when she jumped into the no-prep scene in 2018. Hardcore no-prep racers wondered if she’d catch on after a handful of successful years in PDRA Pro Nitrous competition. But after Musi won three consecutive races on the Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings tour 2019 season, nearly everyone has come around to the idea of Musi not only competing in no-prep, but also running at the front. Lizzy Musi and “Bonnie” are set up for even more success in 2022. Pat brought the nitrous-assisted, Musi-powered Camaro in-house at Musi Racing in Mooresville, North Carolina, where it’s undergone a series of upgrades. That includes a trip to nearby Robert Hayes Motorsports, where Hayes beefed up the chassis to improve the car’s drivability, an issue that Musi worked around as much as possible last season. Lizzy Musi ended No Prep Kings season 5 pretty good in 9th spot. That is further back than where she ended season 4 and season 3. Once the season ended, some Street Outlaws fans assumed that she was seeking to purchase the Bonnie Camaro from Pat Musi Racing Engines. All of the drama would come from the Great 8 at Alabama, when Lizzy Musi and Kye Kelley came face to face to race for the championship. Race was promoted as the battle of the household. The outcome was with Lizzy Musi won the race, which sparked some tension between the two. Since Lizzy won the race, it was over for Kelley, resulting in Ryan going on to the next round. Kelley is in disbelief at the fact that Lizzy beat him in the race. On the other hand, he also had a fallout with his in-laws but said they are working on it to make it work. After the race, Pat also commented on him, saying,” champion doesn’t beg for wins.” Nobody can take away the legendary status of Pat Musi and his incredible success in building racing engines for years, but it seems that he has been the reason for the drama of this power couple that we all like and follow. Lizzy is tied to her dad and her sponsors, so will she purchase the other whole racing operation or at least the Bonnie Camaro. We don’t think it happens this year, because it takes a lot of money to actually purchase the car, the trailers and the operation also. There’s been a lot of rumors out, a lot of misinformation out right now. So let’s see what happens between them 3 this year! Photo by Pat Musi Racing Engines

  • Chuck Seitsinger New Fox Body Mustang "Coyote" Will Swap The World!

If there’s one thing that we’ve noticed about some of the Street Outlaws fan favorites, it’s that they never stop racing. Whether it’s on the street while the cameras are rolling for television, at a No Prep Kings event, or at some other promotion, many of the racers who we find near the top of the leaderboard are those who just simply refuse to get away from the competition. It’s almost like these racers have it in their DNA to just keep on racing until they simply can’t race any longer. In the most recent season of Street Outlaws, we watch as small tire street cars are introduced to the mix again is the crew from the 405 attempts to go back to its roots. With these cars, we see something a lot more relatable that can be driven around on the streets and maybe even driven home from race night if the competitors play their cards right. With the changing of the format, some competitors have machines that fans might already be familiar with from previous seasons that can just show up and race. However, other competitors have found themselves in a position where they might be building cars specifically for this refreshed format. One of the competitors who is rolling something new into the streets for this season is Chuck Seitsinger. Seitsinger has become known for his infatuation with the Fox Body Mustang and with this build, we see more of the same. Photo by Chuck Seitsinger Racing This particular car is a notchback that retains a lot of its original features. In a behind-the-scenes walk around, Seitsinger tells us that the car has roll-up windows, steel fenders, a steel roof, original glass, and even a stereo. He even tells us that it retains its stock rear end with 4.11 gears. The 89 Fox Body, “The Coyote” draws its name from Chuck’s power plant of choice, a generation II coyote V8 from a newer Mustang that is paired with a couple of 6266 Precision turbos. Below, we get the complete tour and a little bit of an explanation of how this new street car came together. • Big Chief Testing Caddy Jack and Having Some Traction Issues

While some fans of the show might want to see Street Outlaws fan favorite, Big Chief, make a return, nothing that we have heard speaks to that being a possibility. Those who do want to see more of the competitor, though, have been able to do so through his YouTube channel at Midwest Street Cars. Isn’t technology a wonderful thing? It’s on the channel that Chief keeps us updated on everything that he’s been going through and how he’s still managing to keep himself in competition even though the days of Street Outlaws cameras pointing in his direction seem to be over. Even though he isn’t filming any longer due to a clash with the show’s production team as it pertains to Chief’s image on the show, it seems as if the competitor is keeping busy with lots of other racing endeavors. Chief has even managed to add even more flavor to his stable of cars as well as keeping up with the cars that fans have come to know him for. This time, we ride along with a vlog from the racer as he takes us behind the scenes to show us what he has been up to, sharing a couple of updates about what’s going on with the Cadillac CTS-V known as “Caddy Jack.” Big Chief & Jackie get Caddy Jack finished and decide to take for it’s very first nitrous pass and have some traction issues. Check out below video: Video by Midwest Street Cars

  • Ryan Martin Completes His 1987 Grand National Treasure Hunt

For the majority of fan-favorite competitors on Street Outlaws, we have come to know them for their work behind the wheel of a certain vehicle. In fact, some competitors have even been nicknamed after the cars that they drive. For example, Ryan Martin, the man who is known for constantly being at the top of the standings, has become known for his work behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Camaro. One of two big tire Camaros that share the “Fireball” name is what fans know Martin best for wheeling. Photo by Fireball Camaro However, like many of his peers on the show, Martin has a list of cars that he wants to add to his own personal collection. When it comes to doing that, let’s just say that it’s not quite as simple as breaking out some of that hard-earned cash from all of his success in racing. Instead, when Martin went to seek out a Buick Grand National, finding his exact dream combination of the right characteristics was a challenge. For starters, he was looking for a car that was lightly and tastefully modified with about 50,000 miles on it. Martin says that he didn’t want a rag or something that was completely beaten on but instead something that was maintained relatively well. After hunting for 2 to 3 years, a trip to Buffalo, NY would be in the cards for the fan favorite to find one of these cars on his bucket list. Photo by Fireball Camaro Unlike the machine that he was dreaming of, the car he found was in even better shape with just 3,000 miles on it, an absolute gem. In fact, we might even go so far as saying that this thing looks as good as the day that it rolled off of the showroom floor. Photo by Fireball Camaro Below, the Ryan Martin (Fireball Camaro) YouTube channel takes us on a tour of the car as our host talks a little bit about how this purchase came to be. • Larry Larson Accuses Jeff Lutz of Cheating and Their Rivalry Comes to The Peak

Discovery Australia certainly dug into the archives with this one! This is a blast from the past that might just bring viewers a wave of sweet nostalgia. When we take a look at the racing culture, it’s pretty wild how quickly things have changed. From the viewpoint of speed, pretty much everything has gotten quicker. It’s downright amazing to watch the heights that the industry is climbing to as doors are downright being kicked down. It seems like blasting through records is becoming more and more of a regular occurrence. This sort of rapid evolution is something that we can take for granted. Of course, being tied up in the moment is going to mean that we’re focusing on watching these records fall. However, when we take a look back at the way that things used to be, we can appreciate just how far we’ve come. Sometimes, this is due to how much quicker things are today. In other cases, the sweet nostalgia comes from cars that we’d fallen in love with but have since been replaced. You would think that grown man would not engage in name-calling over a coin toss and for the most part, you would be right, however, this is Jeff Lutz and Larry Larson, two rivals that have been racing each other on the track and on the streets for more than 20 years now and it seems that they are not above it. These two racers have been dominating Drag Week for years and have been pushing each other to be faster and better with each race and this is where their rivalry started and has grown. Photo by Discovery Australia These days both of them are part of the No Prep Kings Championship and in addition to this, they have been racing on the streets during the Street Outlaws show many times trying to prove who is better on the street that they are currently on. This time they are trying to prove that their team is better than the other and as always it all starts with the coin flip that determines who will get lane choice. While for many, this less-than-trivial task is completed within a few seconds, it appears that these rivals cannot even get this done without an argument. It is Ryan Martin who has the quarter and flips it to determine who will get lane choice, but the poor lighting is stopping him from making the call and this is when it all falls apart for the two rivals. While in reality both of them are not in their prime anymore and their eyesight is not at the top of the game as it used to be, none of this stops them from being reasonable and talking about it like civilized racers. Photo by Discovery Australia By following along with the video below, we get a blast from the past that takes us back to the rivalry between Jeff Lutz & Larry Larson, as they go head-to-head, and Larry accuses Jeff of cheating! • Old Rivalries and Egos Flare Up Between Big Chief and Reaper

When it comes time to go to war at a no prep race, the adrenaline really gets to flying every which way. The suspense is always at an all-time high in these things. One never really knows what’s going to happen. One second, we’re watching the drivers do their burnouts and line up at the starting line. In the next couple of seconds, all hell could break loose. It’s really a show for the spectators as the drivers are out there trying their best to keep it all together. This comes as they attempt to use the least amount of surface area possible to go from “A” to “B.” In this one, on center stage is none other than a couple of Street Outlaws. Staging in one lane, we have Big Chief and The Crow. In the next lane over, we see Reaper and his mean Chevrolet Camaro. After shredding some rubber to make sure that their tires are nice and hot, it’s time to get down. Photo by Rush Discovery NZ Big Chief, known for his street racing prowess, has recently decided to join the no prep racing scene, and it’s clear that he is a force to be reckoned with. However, his arrival has caused a stir among the other racers, particularly Reaper. The two have a history and there is no love lost between them. Photo by Rush Discovery NZ Reaper’s car has also been a source of controversy, with Big Chief claiming that it is not a steel car, but rather a fiberglass car. Reaper, on the other hand, insists that it is a steel car and that there is no issue with it. Despite their past, Reaper insists that he has no problem with Big Chief and that this is simply a matter of two racers wanting to win. The show has also showcased the intense competition between racers from different states, particularly Texas and Oklahoma. Fans have seen the tension between Big Chief and Birdman, a racer from Oklahoma who has been vocal about his dislike for Big Chief. Despite the drama, fans can’t get enough of the high-speed action on the show, and they tune in each week to see who will come out on top. As the competition heats up, it’s clear that no one is safe, and that each race is a battle to the finish line. With Big Chief’s recent arrival, fans are eager to see how he will fare against the other racers and if he will be able to come out on top. Photo by Rush Discovery NZ One thing is for sure, “Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings” is a must-watch for fans of high-speed action and intense rivalries, and it’s a show that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Check out below video when Big Chief goes head-to-head vs Reaper in Idaho, but Reaper still has a bone to pick with his opponent, after an altercation at a previous. Video by Rush Discovery NZ

  • Justin Swanstrom's PRENUP Turns The Boards On Finally!

It’s always exciting to see a race car come to life and hit the track for the first time. The thrill of speed and the roar of the engine are enough to make any gearhead’s heart race. Recently, a team of dedicated racers successfully fired up their race car, the PRENUP, and hit the track for some high-speed action. Justin Swanstorm is a visionary leader in the field of technology, known for his innovative ideas and cutting-edge solutions. One of Justin’s greatest strengths is his ability to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions to complex problems. He is not afraid to take risks and try new things, and this has led to many breakthroughs and successes throughout his career. Photo by Justin Swanstrom The process of building a race car is no easy feat. It takes a lot of time, money, and expertise to turn a stock vehicle into a high-performance machine capable of reaching speeds that most people can only dream of. The team behind the PRENUP faced their fair share of challenges during the build process, but they were determined to see their project through to the end. The PRENUP is a unique car, featuring a square block engine and custom headers. The team had to work hard to make sure that all of the components worked together seamlessly. They also had to overcome the challenge of finding parts and getting the car to meet the requirements of the race class they planned to compete in. Photo by Justin Swanstrom Running in the 3,769’s at the US Street Nationals, Justin Swanstorm has been running basically his NPK car at pretty much NPK weight at less overdrive that no prep games allowed in season 5. These are Pro Mod rules at the U.S Street Nationals that he can only run 92% over on the screw blower in comparison to 98% over at NPK so that 6% is probably one or two pounds of boost which could be roughly around 150 HP less than what he is running at NPK. But he still ran 3,769’s at 200.92 miles an hour so this is very impressive time from Prenup. Video by Justin Swanstrom Building a race car is a challenging and rewarding process. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication, but the end result is a machine that is capable of reaching incredible speeds and providing an unforgettable experience for the driver. The team behind the PRENUP can attest to this, as they have now seen their dream come to fruition. They have built a car that they can be proud of and that is sure to turn heads on the track.
