  • Daddy Dave's Walkaround on His New Audi

Street Outlaws fan favorite, Daddy Dave, really has a lot going on in his life. In fact, one might even go so far as to say that keeping up with his schedule would be nearly impossible for the vast majority of people out there. While racing in a variety of promotions and filming a television show at the same time, Dave has still found some time to keep a couple of projects going in the background as well. In the “OG” Street Outlaws show, we have watched the competition go from big tire race cars back to a simpler small tire format. While plenty of competitors have brought new builds to the streets for the filming of the refreshed format, Dave has resorted to old reliable, his twin-turbo Chevrolet S10 which has been around for years. However, he has been cooking up a little something in the background as well. Dave tells us that he has owned a variety of Chevrolet Monte Carlos and therefore, elected to go with another one to race on the OG Street Outlaws show as well. It’s just not something that he could snap his fingers and have done, though, due to the aforementioned busy schedule. Up until now, we’ve only seen dribs and drabs of what the car is going to be. In this particular video, though, Dave gives us the full walk around of the car, explaining all of the details that fans have been dying to know about. The car isn’t exactly 100% just yet but it does appear as if it’s pretty close as Dave goes over some of the final details before getting this thing ready to race. Below, we check in with the latest that this old-school Chevrolet has to offer and get a little bit of a taste of what we might be seeing in the streets pretty soon. Video by Daddy Dave Racing

  • Debate Over The Armdrop or Flashlight Start?

Since the Arm Drop Drags introduced by JJ Da Boss on the last season's finale of Street Outlaws in Oklahoma, there has been an ongoing discussion about which format is superior: Flashlight start or Armdrop. Photo by Street Outlaws While it is unlikely that everyone will agree on one or the other, it is intriguing to determine where everyone stands on the issue. Before delving into the responses from the individuals of the 405, let's examine the distinctions between the two possibilities. As Daddy Dave pointed out, the flashlight functions similarly to an "instant green" start at the drag strip. There is no ambiguity, and there is no questioning whether or not there was a jump or a fair start. If the vehicle moves before the light turns on, it is considered a jump and a loss. If the light turns on before the cars move, it is a fair start. The armdrop alters all of this by incorporating the "chase is a race" clause, which means that even if one car leaves before the starter's arm drops, whoever reaches the finish line first is declared the winner. This opens up the possibility for a lot of gamesmanship, particularly for slower cars that may be unable to outrun their opponent in a head-to-head race. If you can time the drop so that you leave just before the starter drops their arms and your opponent follows suit, you have a significant advantage. As you might expect, the individuals from the 405 favor the flashlight start since it is what they have always utilized to begin their races. Only Big Chief, who has never been ashamed to admit he can compete with the best of them, claims to be proficient in both, and thus far, that assertion has been relatively accurate. What do you think about this debate? Which format is more equitable? More importantly, which format is more engaging? We are pretty certain what the answer is, but we enjoy hearing from you, so let us know your thoughts! Video by Street Outlaws

  • The Controversial Split in Street Outlaws!!!

The viewership numbers for the small tire Street Outlaws Oklahoma show have been steadily declining. While some may view this as a reason for concern and a sign of a drop in popularity, we believe that people are simply watching less TV and instead paying attention to the Street Outlaws through various other media. Photo by Street Outlaws Nowadays, almost all of the show's clips and videos can be found on different streaming services, and the same goes for Street Outlaws Oklahoma. Because of this, we believe that while people may not be watching the show on TV, they have found other ways and places to watch it. In our humble opinion, the show made a smart move by focusing on small tires and getting closer to many street racers who race on smaller tires, unlike the very few who can afford cars with such huge amounts of power and tires for street racing. Photo by Street Outlaws This means that the show's popularity will likely continue to grow instead of declining, with more and more street racers tuning in to every episode on various streaming platforms. The fact that almost all of the drivers have their own successful YouTube channels supports our theory about why TV viewership is declining, even though the show remains popular. However, the main topic of Sim's video is something else entirely. He is trying to explain something that may not make sense to many viewers: the producers have decided to split episodes. This is where we stand at the moment, so let's hear what Sim has to say about it. Video by Sim ABCXYZ

  • Richard Rawlings Loses Over $70,000 Selling His Ford GT!!

Richard Rawlings is a well-known name in the automotive industry, thanks to his popular TV show Fast N’ Loud. He is also the founder of Gas Monkey Garage, a custom car shop that has produced some of the most impressive and sought-after cars in the industry. After a great day visiting Brad Keselowski at a NASCAR track on a race day, Richard Rawlings feels the loss of $70K as his Ford GT doesn’t sell as much as he expected to at an auction. Rawlings had owned the 2005 Ford GT for over a decade and had put just 2,800 miles on the odometer. He decided to sell the car at the Mecum Auctions event in Indianapolis in May 2021, hoping to make a tidy profit on the sale. The car had been customized with Gas Monkey Garage touches, including a custom paint job and new wheels. Photo by DMAX UK However, things did not go as planned. Despite being one of the most highly anticipated lots at the auction, Rawlings' Ford GT failed to meet its reserve price, which was set at $300,000. The highest bid for the car was $225,000, meaning that Rawlings lost over $70,000 on the sale. Rawlings was understandably disappointed with the outcome, but he remained optimistic about the future. In a statement to the media, he said that he was proud of the car and that he was happy to have been a part of its history. He also hinted that he might try to sell the car again in the future, perhaps at a different auction or through a private sale. Photo by DMAX UK The loss on the Ford GT sale is a reminder that the classic car market can be unpredictable and volatile. Despite its popularity and high demand, even the most desirable cars can fail to meet their reserve prices at auction, leaving sellers in a tough spot. Rawlings is not the first person to experience this, and he certainly won't be the last. However, the sale of Rawlings' Ford GT is also a testament to the passion and dedication that he and other car enthusiasts have for their vehicles. To them, cars are more than just machines - they are works of art, expressions of creativity, and symbols of freedom and adventure. Even if they don't always get the price they want, these enthusiasts will continue to pour their hearts and souls into their cars, striving to create something truly special. Video DMAX UK

Street Outlaws fans are thrilled about the No Prep Kings season 6, and the announcement of the rule book has only heightened the excitement. As usual, the Street Outlaws gang and their community are making preparations to get ready for this upcoming event. Photo by Daddy Dave In a video shared by Reaper, he elaborates on the rulebook and the effects it may have on the competition. Reaper said that the new set of guidelines seems to be designed to even the playing field and that it could result in the elimination of the big-money racers. • Lizzy Musi Made A Pretty Great Save and Got Disqualified!!

Street racing might look like a chaotic sport, but there are actually some strict rules involved depending on where and how one is racing. In fact, many street racers spend a lot of time making sure that the rules are fair and suitable for their racing style. Some even create their own standards for their specific racing format. These rules might also change depending on the location of the race. For Street Outlaws: America’s List, one rule is very clear and obvious. If you cross the centerline when you’re ahead of your opponent, it’s an automatic disqualification. Nothing is more dangerous than two cars racing in the same lane. Also, trying to catch up and pass your opponent when they are right in front of you is definitely something that will slow you down. So, if you’re guilty of crossing over in front of your opponent, it’s an automatic DQ. Photo by Discovery This time, we watch an episode of Street Outlaws: America’s List where Lizzy Musi would end up in such a situation. When racing against Chuck, it looked like Lizzy had a faster car in this race. Unfortunately, though, as she lost control of the car and crossed the whole street, that speed would not lead to a win. Photo by Discovery Down in the video below, we see this scary situation that luckily didn’t end with a crash. Even though Lizzy didn’t win the race, we’re sure that she would rather have this outcome than completely losing control of the car. On another note, that was a pretty amazing save that she made when things started to look like a crash was inevitable. Video by Discovery

  • What Is Mike Murillo Doing After Being Diagnosed Stage 4 Lung Cancer

The year 2023 is indeed a tough year for Street Outlaws star Mike Murillo as he had double knee replacement surgery in the early of February, then announced about stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis in March. The diagnosis came as a shock to many fans of the show, where Mike was one of the most popular racers. The news immediately raised questions about what he would do next, both in regards to his health and his status on the show. Photo by Mike Murillo Racing As a result of the diagnosis, Mike has had to undergo some treatments. These treatments can be draining, and it is likely that Mike has had to take time off work to allow himself the necessary rest and recovery time. Despite the challenges, Mike has been maintaining a positive attitude and keeping fans updated on his progress through social media. He has been posting regular updates with his followers, sharing photos of himself and his family, and keeping everyone up-to-date on how he is feeling. Photo by Mike Murillo Racing In one post, Mike wrote: “We have the best fans, friends and family on the planet. Thank y’all for all the prayers and messages sent. Let’s go Racing!”. In some recent posts, he kept us updated about his treatment: “All masses are still shrinking. Lymph node masses are almost gone. The bone that was hurt by the cancer on my spine is already showing it’s healing. Brain scan showed clear again so no more brain scans. Cancer Markers in my blood are “undetectable”! Photo by Mike Murillo Racing It's worth noting that some fans have expressed support and love for Mike, with many rooting for his speedy recovery. While Mike's health is undoubtedly his top priority right now, he still keeps much love for racing. Mike Murillo has been keeping fans updated on his new Hemi combo for the upcoming season 6 of Street Outlaws No Prep Kings. Photo by Mike Murillo Racing In a recent post on social media, he shared some photos that showcased the high-performance engine, which he believes will give him an edge in the competition. Mike has promised to keep fans updated on the progress of his car and engine combo throughout the season, and his followers can't wait to see how he fares. Photo by Mike Murillo Racing

  • Behind The Big Chief's Big Crash and The Crow

One of the most significant incidents in Street Outlaws' history was when famed grudge racer, Brian "Chucky" Davis, united with several local racers and journeyed to Oklahoma City to compete against Big Chief and the elite racers of the 405 region. Following an exciting night of racing, the main event was prepared to begin, but Chief and Chucky made jokes about finishing early and departing to their families. Regrettably, they would soon wish they had kept that thought to themselves. Photo by Discovery When the cars took off, Chief had gained the lead of half a car length. However, those familiar with Brian Davis acknowledge that he never gives up. Hence, although his hot rod lost traction, he battled to maintain his lane and pressed down on the accelerator as much as possible. Nonetheless, as lightweight, high horsepower hot rods on slippery surfaces typically do, the car spun out of control, and Davis lost power, causing the car to collide with the driver's backside rear fender of the Crow, resulting in both vehicles being thrown into the distance with tremendous force. Photo by Discovery As Chuck's Mustang mercilessly tumbled down the street, Big Chief and the Crow veered off the floor and turned over and over, eventually stopping in a boulder-lined culvert after rolling over a chain link fence nearby. While both drivers could depart the vehicle independently, Chief was visibly ill at ease, tenderly nursing his back, which still bothers him to this day. Davis, unhurt in the accident, appeared shaken, but was more concerned about Chief's condition than himself or his car. The outcome was ultimately satisfactory, but for a brief moment, spectators at the starting line weren't sure if either driver would make it out of the tragedy alive. Photo by Discovery When we take a look at the actual wreck that took out the Crow, we can feel the tension that’s in the air as the car begins rolling and the relief that comes when we learn that Chief is still alive. Check out the throwback scenario in the video below that shows us the race gone wrong. We can’t help but be happy that Chief would be able to get back behind the wheel again, but this is most definitely a feeling that we don’t want to have to witness again anytime soon. • The Rumored Feud Between Larry Larson And Jeff Lutz

Street Outlaws is a show that showcases one thing above all: thrilling racing. The sport is very competitive and requires racers to spend years improving their vehicles. Many times, the drivers face each other in intense races to see who’s faster. That’s what the show is about, right? But some of the Street Outlaws stars are not only competitive on the track, but also in their everyday lives. For example, there seems to be a feud between Larry Larson and Jeff Lutz, two of the show’s stars. What is the reason for their dislike of each other? What is behind all the drama? Read on to find out. Street Outlaws fans may have noticed that Larry and Jeff don’t get along very well with each other, unlike other cast members. They are both friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about racing with others, but they have been cold and distant with each other for a long time. Larry and Jeff have raced against each other many times, and the outcome depended on their cars. But they have also exchanged words off the track. A Reddit user revealed some information that explains why Larry and Jeff behave the way they do. According to them, Jeff criticized Larry for supporting “pro mods” at some point, before Jeff himself also used the same controversial modifications to his car, which helped him win Drag Week. Photo by Street Outlaws Live One other user stated that Larry actually won Drag Week five years in a row some time ago, and Jeff was only able to secure his first victory after Larry stopped competing. Photo by Dragzine Beyond their disagreements on how cars should be built, Larry has also allegedly said that he simply just doesn't like Jeff, per another Redditor. Nonetheless, their feud hasn't ever boiled over into any one-on-one verbal or physical engagements. Considering how long of a history Larry and Jeff have in the sport together (for better or worse), it's safe to say that this "cold war" of racers will likely only ever heat up on the pavement.
