  • The 22-year-old Paige Coughlin Makes Her “No Prep Kings” Debut

Paige Coughlin, aged 22, showcased her skills behind the wheel of a powerful 1992 Chevrolet Camaro named 'Golden Child.' Paige is the daughter of Troy Coughlin, Sr., and the granddaughter of Jeg Coughlin, Sr., the esteemed founder of JEGS. Photo by Dragzine Paige, equipped with several years of experience in NHRA sportsman class and E.T. bracket racing, joined forces with Mike Rees and Justin Beaver to restore the 1992 Camaro that Rees previously competed with in NMCA Super Street 10.5 and Radial Wars competitions. The car, previously adorned in a dazzling all-gold color (which inspired its name), now showcases an elegant black-on-gold design. It boasts a top-notch drivetrain combination and incorporates the finest components necessary to compete alongside the leading no-prep teams in the sport. “I come from a bracket racing and Super Comp background. That’s where I grew up, that’s what my dad did, what my brother did. When we decided to build this car, we thought we’d go check out the no-prep racing scene, and we instantly fell in love with it,” Paige says. “My dad came out here two years ago and saw how packed the track was, and was amazed at how many people came out to the event. So it’s something we want to be a part of, and we’re excited to bring this 1992 Camaro out and race in the Futures class.” The "Golden Child". Photo by Paige Coughlin “Mike is like an older brother to me, and Justin and all of my guys, they’re amazing,” Paige expresses that her team, led by Rees, has been a longstanding member of Troy's NHRA Pro Modified program. “This came about in a two-car garage at Mike’s house, and that’s where we built the car. The relationship was there, the car was there, and we made it work. We knew this was going to be super-cool, and the car is badass - I’m obsessed with these Camaros - so I’m excited.” Photo by Dragzine Paige marked her first appearance at the season opener held at National Trail Raceway in Columbus, Ohio, which also happens to be her family's home track. Although she was eliminated in the opening round of the three-car competition in the Future Street Outlaws category, she exhibited remarkable driving skills. Additionally, the car demonstrated its capability to contend with other competitors, showcasing its potential. “This series drew me in when I went to an event. It’s so cool, because there are so many people that are so excited to come watch racing. I wanted to be a part of it. My dad raced in Pro Modified for many years and I wanted to be like him, and when he said how cool this stuff was, I knew this could be something we could do together, a father-daughter deal. I think is perfect for us.” Photo by Paige Coughlin The vehicle is equipped with a Pro Line Racing Hemi engine featuring a ProCharger F-4X, and it utilizes a complete set of FuelTech hardware. Troy, Sr., a remarkable figure with 16 NHRA national event victories and three Pro Modified championship titles to his name, has taken pleasure in observing his children's accomplishments since retiring from active driving. His son, Troy, Jr., has achieved success across various racing categories, ranging from Top Fuel to Pro Stock and Pro Modified, during his young career. • Street Outlaws Legendary 405 Battle - Murder Nova vs Doc Street Beast!!!

Street racing is an adrenaline-fueled sport that has gained immense popularity over the years. The excitement and thrill of watching cars race down the street at breakneck speeds is something that attracts a lot of people. One of the most popular shows in the street racing world is Street Outlaws, and one of the most epic matchups in the show is between the Murder Nova and the Doc Street Beast. The Murder Nova, driven by Shawn Ellington, has become one of the most iconic cars on the show. Its unique design and powerful engine make it a force to be reckoned with on the streets. On the other hand, James "Doc" Love's Street Beast is also a fan favorite, with its impressive horsepower and lightning-fast speed. Shawn's Murder Nova. Photo by National No Prep Racing Association The matchup between the two cars is a difficult one for Doc's Street Beast, as the Murder Nova can be a handful to deal with. However, despite being one of the last few nitrous cars that are competitive in no prep, the Street Beast has held its own against some of the toughest competitors on the show. One of the main reasons why the Murder Nova is so difficult to beat is its power. Shawn Ellington's 1969 Nova is one of the most well-known cars in the country that is capable of producing up to 4000 horsepower. This kind of power can make the car incredibly difficult to handle, and it takes a skilled driver to keep it under control. The Street Beast, on the other hand, is powered by a 959 cubic inch engine that can produce up to 4500 horsepower. While this may seem like a significant power disadvantage, Doc has proven time and time again that he can compete with some of the fastest cars on the show. Doc Street Beast. Photo by National No Prep Racing Association Despite the Murder Nova's power advantage, Doc has been able to hold his own in races against the car. In one memorable race, Doc and Shawn went head to head, with the Street Beast taking the win. The race was incredibly close, with both drivers pushing their cars to the limit, but ultimately, Doc's skill behind the wheel gave him the edge. Be sure to watch this legendary battle as the renowned Murder Nova lines up beside Doc, and they engage in a familiar duel, as two buddies from the same locality, determined to assist each other in any possible way while simultaneously refusing to concede on the race track once the signal lights up. • What Happened to BoostedGT

BoostedGT, the alias of Chris Hamilton, a former underground street race car driver who turned into a TV personality, gained prominence when he joined the cast of the successful reality TV series, "Street Outlaws," which aired on Discovery Channel in 2014. Since then, he has won multiple competitions, gained the title of race master, and cemented his position as one of the most popular figures in the street racing scene. Although his TV shows have amassed a global following, BoostedGT is primarily recognized as a fearless racer who never backs down from any driving challenge. This article delves into his life before "Street Outlaws" and how he first ventured into street racing. Early life and family BoostedGT, who grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, had a relatively ordinary childhood. However, his father, an avid participant in an underground race circuit around the Miller Brewery area with his Chevrolet Chevelle from the 1960s to the 1980s, sparked his interest in cars and street racing. BoostedGT listened intently to his father's stories about his racing hobby and developed a fondness for classic race car drivers such as Bill Elliot, Richard Petty, and John Force. Over the years, he absorbed his father's knowledge of cars and motors, including how to dismantle, modify, and reassemble a car. His father unknowingly laid the foundation for his future career, but at the time, BoostedGT believed that these lessons only served to help him repair his car's tires, brakes, and motor, saving him money by avoiding professional mechanics. The origins of street car racing for BoostedGT BoostedGT's street car racing journey began with his first car, a 1987 Chevrolet S10 Blazer, and his father's influence on his hobby. He later upgraded to a Chevelle with 400 horsepower, which he and his friends would race on the streets for fun. As he gained more experience, he traded up to cars with more power, including a Mustang with 600 horsepower. However, it wasn't until he acquired his iconic yellow 1995 Ford Mustang that he modified into a turbo car specifically for street racing. Photo by BoostedGT In the early 2000s, underground car shootouts were taking place in Houston, Texas, which inspired Chris "Limpy" Collins to start an underground racing circuit called "Cash Days" in Dallas. BoostedGT joined Limpy and other street racers in competing in the circuit, which quickly gained popularity in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and beyond. Although street racing was illegal, the community grew as enthusiasts with connections to the racing crew participated in the events. As "Cash Days" became more popular, racers from Oklahoma began to take notice, and a friendly rivalry between the Texas and Oklahoma drag racing crews emerged. While Limpy was approached by California TV studios to do a TV series about street racing, he declined the offer at the time because he didn't want to reveal his secrets to the public. BoostedGT became known as one of the OGs (old guys) of street car racing history in Texas before it gained mainstream attention through television shows. BoostedGT's appearance on TV shows featured on the Discovery Channel BoostedGT's expertise in car modification, driving skills, quick wit, and charming personality made him a regular on reality TV shows about car racing that were broadcasted on the Discovery Channel: “Street Outlaws” During an episode of "Street Outlaws," the Oklahoma racing crew traveled to Texas to compete against the locals, including BoostedGT. Following the event, BoostedGT joined the regular cast in the third season of the show. The storyline of the series suggested that after the race, BoostedGT had a change of heart and decided to move to Oklahoma to join the 405 crew. He participated in multiple seasons of the show, with the ultimate goal of making it onto Oklahoma's exclusive list of top racers. After putting in a great deal of effort, BoostedGT finally achieved his goal and secured a spot in the Top 5. Photo by BoostedGT “Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings” After the huge success of the original "Street Outlaws" series, several spin-offs were created, including "Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings." BoostedGT and other drivers from the original series were selected to participate in the new spin-off, which premiered on February 27th, 2018. The primary difference between the two shows was that the competition in "No Prep Kings" took place on non-prepped tracks. In contrast to the usual practice of spraying synthetic liquids on the track for better traction, the tracks in this show were left untested and rough. “Street Outlaws: Mega Cash Days” After years of street car racing, BoostedGT was offered a new role as the race master for the franchise series "Street Outlaws: Mega Cash Days". Instead of solely focusing on his car and driving skills, he would be hosting the event, similar to Limpy's "Cash Days" in Texas and Big Chief's "Street Outlaws" in Oklahoma. BoostedGT was honored to have been given this opportunity, despite the challenge of filling the big shoes of his predecessors. The Discovery Channel recognized his experience in the circuit since the mid-2000s, and the advantage of his knowledge gained from working with Limpy back then. Photo by Street Outlaws Live BoostedGT's level-headed personality allowed him to work well with different personalities, including the 64 drivers and their three crews, which could easily lead to chaos if not managed correctly. In an interview, he emphasized the importance of making a call and sticking to it, owning it, and not getting run over by anyone with a strong hand. He learned from his racing experience to never take anything personally, as most of the time, people who lash out are upset at something else, not you. BoostedGT's humility and calmness contributed to his popularity among racing fans. Some facts and rumors about Boosted: Photo by Street Outlaws Live He had a regular job BoostedGT's life was not limited to being a reality TV star. Off-camera, he had two other significant roles: a dedicated father to his son and a military contractor. As a contractor, he had the opportunity to travel to several countries, but he managed his schedule efficiently to avoid any conflicts with his TV career. His personal relationship with Kayla Morton BoostedGT and Kayla Morton, both street car racers, were in a relationship and considered by many to be the power couple in the street racing community. Kayla grew up around race tracks and auto shops as her father was a racing pro in the 1980s. She was known as the top female street race driver in Oklahoma and was later featured on the TV show "Street Outlaws." BoostedGT and Kayla had similar backgrounds, which is why they hit it off quickly. At first, the Oklahoma crew gave him a hard time when they learned of their relationship, but they eventually accepted it. However, fans are curious if they are still together as there are no recent photos of them together, and Kayla was not mentioned in BoostedGT's recent interviews. Some entertainment sites claim that they are married, but there is no proof to support this claim. It seems that their commitment to a long-term relationship is no longer evident. BoostedGT’s take on the scripted TV show allegations He revealed that he no longer bothered to check his inbox, which was filled with complaints and accusations from fans claiming that the show was rigged and fake. According to BoostedGT, it was pointless to argue or explain anymore. He clarified that the only control the Discovery Channel had over the show was ensuring that the streets were closed to prevent accidents. Despite this, some viewers believed that before each season started, the TV producers handed out a list of winners, losers, and potential conflicts among the drivers. BoostedGT was frustrated with this belief, as he explained that while the TV studio wanted entertaining and controversial footage to boost ratings, there was no memo from the producers demanding it. The unpredictable nature of the race, with so many different personalities interacting, naturally produced tension and drama, making it unnecessary to script the events. His feud with Chuck Seitsinger BoostedGT was involved in a public altercation with fellow race driver Chuck Seitsinger during an episode of “Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings” in Maryland back in May 2019. The cameras caught the two having a heated verbal exchange at the starting line which escalated to a physical fight when Chuck threw water in BoostedGT’s face, prompting him to retaliate with punches. The altercation continued until other drivers intervened and separated them. BoostedGT's shirt was ripped during the fight, and he later auctioned it off for around $400, which he donated to charity. Fans were left wondering about the cause of the feud and why BoostedGT, who is typically calm, lost his patience on that day. Photo by DNR Auto What happened to Boosted on Street Outlaws? Despite not racing for a while, BoostedGT remains connected to the "Street Outlaws" franchise series. He currently holds the position of race master for Discovery Channel, similar to Big Chief. Additionally, he has been consistently creating and sharing content on his official YouTube Channel.

Growing up in his hometown, alongside his siblings (though the exact number remains unknown), Dave developed a deep passion for cars during his teenage years. He obtained his driver's license at the age of 16, setting the stage for his future racing endeavors. Dave wasted no time in diving into the world of racing, initially piloting his parents' 1978 Chevrolet Impala, despite its lackluster performance. However, his skills shone through as he consistently secured victories, quickly establishing himself as one of Oklahoma's most prominent drivers. With his increasing success, Daddy Dave soon amassed enough funds to acquire a new vehicle, a 1996 GMC Sonoma S10 pick-up truck, which underwent extensive modifications to perfectly suit his racing style. Prior to his involvement in "Street Outlaws," Daddy Dave participated in another street racing series titled "Pinks: All Out" in 2009, which aired on Speed from 2006 to 2010. However, it was his breakthrough appearance in the Discovery series "Street Outlaws" that propelled him to greater fame. Maintaining his momentum from his earlier exploits with the Chevrolet, Daddy Dave's friendship with Justin Shearer, better known as Big Chief, played a significant role in his inclusion in the reality TV show. Since his first appearance on "Street Outlaws" in 2013, Daddy Dave has cemented his position as the premier driver in Oklahoma, earning the esteemed title of the state's number one racer. Along the way, he has developed rivalries on the track, notably with fellow racer Shawn Ellington. Video by StanceAutoworks Daddy's on-screen presence significantly boosted his popularity and caught the attention of numerous sponsors eager to support his racing endeavors. With their backing, he gained access to essential resources, including new cars, that propelled his racing career to new heights. Building upon his success, Daddy went on to establish his own shop, specializing in customizing cars to his unique preferences and innovating new car parts to enhance his performance on the track. As a result, his reputation as a star has transcended local fame in Oklahoma and expanded to a global scale, earning him recognition and admiration from racing enthusiasts worldwide. Wife & Kids: Presently, Dave is happily married to Cassie Comstock, and they are enjoying their life together. After dating for a significant period, the couple exchanged vows on March 1, 2013. They have been blessed with two beautiful daughters; however, they have made a deliberate decision to keep their children out of the public eye. Dave resides with his family in Oklahoma City, cherishing the moments they share in the comfort of their home. Some "Minor" Hiccups on his Journey: Drag racing poses significant risks to both the drivers and the spectators, often resulting in severe injuries and even fatalities. As a cautionary measure, every episode of the show begins with a reminder: "Just because we're dumbasses, don't mean you can be too. So don't do any of the sh*ts we do at home." In August 2015, Dave found himself in a race during the show, driving his pickup truck, and it led to a harrowing incident with potentially fatal consequences. While racing, he lost control of his vehicle, careened into the wall at an alarming speed, and flipped a staggering six times, resulting in a complete wreck. The terrifying incident unfolded during a No Prep event held at the Amarillo Dragway in Texas, leaving onlookers horrified and urgently calling for assistance. Fears mounted that Dave had suffered a catastrophic outcome, which would have been an enormous loss for the racing community. Miraculously, Dave survived the accident, although he endured a severe concussion, extensive damage to one of his shoulders, and significant lung bruising. Notably, one of his injuries was caused by a loose gas bottle that became dislodged during the crash and struck his head, despite wearing a helmet. Promptly, he was transported to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals treated his concussion. Meanwhile, his wife Cassie took to his official Facebook page to express her gratitude for the prayers and provided an update on his condition. She wrote, "First, I need to thank all of you for your prayers! They have done X-rays and scans, we are just waiting for the results. He is in a lot of pain, pretty banged up and a serious concussion. He is talking but doesn't remember anything or even where he is." Following the traumatic incident, Cassie pleaded with Dave to reconsider racing, concerned for his well-being. However, Dave adamantly refused to give up his passion for the sport. Video by AfterEffects After being released from the hospital, Dave made a remarkable recovery. However, his beloved Chevy suffered irreparable damage in the accident, leaving him without a car despite his physical ability to race. Faced with a difficult decision, Dave chose to embark on building his second race car, a 1963 Chevrolet Nova named "Goliath 2.0." This impressive vehicle came with a price tag of $150,000 and was generously provided by his sponsor, Jackie Knox, a prominent figure in the construction industry. While rumors circulated regarding the actual cost of the car, the exact figure remained undisclosed to the public. Regardless, Dave has proudly owned "Goliath 2.0" for several years, and it has served him well, earning him the prestigious title of the "King of the Streets." In June 2021, Dave found himself in yet another racing incident during an event called "Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings" while competing against Bobby Ducote. In the final moments of the race, Dave lost control of his car, resulting in a forceful impact with the wall that inflicted significant damage. The crowd erupted in shouts and yells, concerned for Dave's well-being. Video by DragZone Fortunately for his dedicated fan base, Dave launched his own YouTube channel, Daddy Dave Racing, in 2021. The channel features content related to "Street Outlaws," providing updates on his career and showcasing his cars. In one of his videos, Dave candidly explained the circumstances surrounding the recent accident and his loss of control: "To put it shortly, we had a sh*tty weekend. Right after eight miles, I got loose, turned sideways on me really quickly, and I could not recover it, and we blasted the wall. So it’s gonna be a few weeks before we can get it fixed. My chassis guy can’t get it in for another two and a half weeks." Remarkably, Dave once again managed to cheat death and sustained only minor injuries, leading some to wonder if he might be indestructible. Dave expressed his plans to rebuild the damaged car, assuring fans that the extent of the damage was less severe than initially thought. With his characteristic sense of humor, the "Street Outlaws" star jokingly remarked on his driving performance: "Not sure what happened, but I ran out of talent right near eight mile, and then it got away from me, but we’ll be back."
