  • Street Outlaws - The Drama of Guessing the Light on No Prep Kings & Why the Tree Won’t Change

Well, hello, everybody! Welcome to another edition of Street Outlaws No Prep Talk. Today, we're diving into one of the hottest topics of No Prep Kings Season 7: guessing the light. Every single season, this issue resurfaces, sparking incidents, fights, and endless drama. Let’s break down why they won’t change the tree to a pro tree and why this keeps the excitement alive in NPK. Photo by Mallory Elizabeth Photography First off, for those new to the show, Street Outlaws is packed with action, and No Prep Kings is no different. It thrives on drama, and guessing the light is a big part of that. So, why don’t they switch to a pro tree? Simply put, it’s all about the drama and the uniqueness it brings to the show. In traditional drag racing, a pro tree setup is used. Here, amber lights flash in sequence before the green light, giving racers a predictable pattern to react to. But in NPK, they use an instant green light, meaning the green light comes on without any warning after the second bulb is lit. This unpredictability creates a significant challenge: do you react as fast as you can when the green light appears, or do you try to guess when it will light up? Reacting to the light isn’t guessing. A good reaction time involves seeing the green light and then launching your car. However, if a racer can figure out the countdown and predict exactly when the green light will appear, they can launch their car a split second before it comes on. This technique is risky because mistiming it can result in a red light, disqualifying the racer. Photo by Mallory Elizabeth Photography The timing between the second bulb lighting up and the green light dropping can vary from track to track. Some tracks keep it constant, making it easier to guess, while others change it up to keep racers on their toes. This variability adds another layer of excitement and challenge, making it harder to perfect the guessing game. Despite the racers’ calls to switch to a pro tree for fairness, the producers of NPK are likely to keep the instant green light. Why? Because it fuels the drama. Every season, we see fights break out over this very issue. Just this past weekend, several altercations erupted due to disagreements over light guessing. The drama draws viewers, keeps fans engaged, and differentiates NPK from other drag racing shows. Photo by Mallory Elizabeth Photography Moreover, there’s talk of enhancing the live feed experience by adding cameras at the big end of the track. These cameras would capture the moments when racers exit their cars, often leading to heated confrontations. While these altercations have been part of the TV show, seeing them live would bring a new level of excitement for fans watching from home. In conclusion, the guessing game at the light is here to stay in No Prep Kings. It’s part of what makes the show thrilling and unpredictable. So, while some may call for a switch to a pro tree, it’s clear that the drama and excitement of the instant green light are too valuable to let go. Stay tuned for more high-octane action, and remember, it’s not just about racing – it’s about the show!

We’ve had five races and five different winners, a rarity in the No Prep Kings series. This level of competition underscores how challenging it is to secure a victory in NPK. Even top racers like Ryan Martin haven't managed to win twice, highlighting the fierce rivalry on the track. Highlight: Gucci Nova's Impressive Performance A standout performance came from the Gucci Nova team. Chris, Michael, and Youppi showcased exceptional skill, especially in the tricky track conditions. In the losers bracket, Jerry Bird was accused of guessing in his race against Jim Howe, leading to a win for Bird. However, this sparked a confrontation at the finish line. • The Potential Return of Ryan Martin's Gray Camaro to No Prep Kings Season 7?

Hey Street Outlaws fans, it's time to dive into the latest buzz surrounding Ryan Martin and his Fireball Camaro. With the new season of No Prep Kings underway, there's been a lot of speculation about whether Ryan will unleash his legendary gray Camaro or stick with the Fireball. Photo by Richard Rowe Let's break it down. The Fireball Camaro made quite the statement in its debut with the new screw blown setup. Despite some shaky performances in the second and fourth races, Ryan showed his prowess by clinching victory in the third outing. That's not something to overlook. So, why the hesitation to bring out the gray car? Well, it seems Ryan is finding his groove with the Fireball. During testing, he even mentioned that it outpaced any setup he's run before on NPK. Plus, if we look at the stats, three out of four races in NPK season 7 have been won by screw blown setups. That's significant. Photo by Upshift Some argue that the ProCharger might have its moments, especially when the air is crisp. But as the summer months roll in, with hotter temperatures and possibly higher humidity, the screw blown setup tends to shine, particularly on tracks with higher altitudes. But here's the real kicker - the competition is fierce. No Prep Kings is no longer a one-man show. Anyone, even a seasoned pro like Ryan, can face an early exit. Just look at what happened last week. Video by Upshift360 So, what's the verdict? It seems Ryan is sticking with the Fireball for now, and rightfully so. He's proven he can win with anything under the hood. The days of one driver dominating NPK are over, but that doesn't mean Ryan won't clinch victory again this season. It's anyone's game. As we gear up for the next race, anticipation is high. The air is promising, and rumors suggest the track is lightning fast. Will Ryan continue his reign with the Fireball, or will he surprise us all with the gray Camaro? Only time will tell. Stay tuned to StreetOutlawsTalks.com for all the latest updates and insights.

  • Street Outlaws No Prep Kings at Flying H: Winners and Losers Bracket Update

Welcome back, Street Outlaws fans! Today, we’re diving into the latest action from No Prep Kings at Flying H. As always, the competition is fierce and full of surprises, so let’s break down the winners and losers from the recent races. Photo by Street Outlaws Live Yesterday’s races were intense, with the track proving to be quite the challenge. Despite the tricky conditions, we have a lineup of winners ready to battle it out in the winners bracket. However, some heavy hitters have found themselves in the losers bracket, setting the stage for some thrilling races ahead. In a twist of fate, three racers who lost their initial runs – Bobby K, Kayla, and Alex Laughlin – drew the Lucky Chip and were bumped up to the winners bracket. This shake-up means we have two previous No Prep Kings winners stuck in the losers bracket: Jim Howe and Murder Nova. Photo by Street Outlaws Live Jim Howe, who clinched victory in the first race of the season, faced a tough match against Paige Coughlin and narrowly lost in a close race. Paige’s car is dialed in and flying down the track, making her a formidable opponent. Jim’s new Hemi is still in the testing phase, and it showed in this tight contest. Meanwhile, Murder Nova, the second race winner of this season, lost to Gucci Nova after veering towards the wall and unable to recover. Both Jim and Murder Nova were tied on points before these races, but now they’re facing the challenge of earning fewer points per round in the losers bracket – just three points for each round and three for showing up, compared to the ten points in the winners bracket. However, all is not lost for these seasoned racers. Winning the losers bracket can still net them a significant 12 points, which could help them climb back up the leaderboard. The competition in the losers bracket is stacked with fast cars and talented drivers, including Jimmy Taylor, Cali Mills, and Jerry Bird, making it an exciting field to watch. Photo by Street Outlaws Live The level of competition in NPK is incredibly high; even previous event winners can find themselves in the losers bracket after a single tough race. This unpredictability is what makes No Prep Kings so thrilling. Stay tuned to see who emerges victorious from today’s races. Best of luck to all the racers, and let’s see who will come out on top! • No Prep Kings Season 6 Update: Broadcast Moved to Fall 2024

Welcome, racing enthusiasts! Today, we delve into the burning question that's been buzzing among Street Outlaws fans for over a year: When will No Prep Kings Season 6 finally hit our screens? The anticipation has turned into a saga filled with rumors, speculations, and many unanswered questions. Photo by Street Outlaws Live Last year, Street Outlaws vs. The World wrapped up on December 5th, airing during the slot typically reserved for No Prep Kings. This led fans to believe that Season 6 would kick off in early 2024. The reasoning was simple: Versus the World aired before the actual events of No Prep Kings Season 6, so logically, the new season would follow soon after. Fans expected No Prep Kings Season 6 to premiere in the first week of 2024, allowing for a brief hiatus after Versus the World. Historically, Street Outlaws started the year strong with their flagship 405 show. However, rumors suggested the 405 show might not return, shifting the focus to No Prep Kings as the prime contender for the top spot in Street Outlaws programming. January came and went with no sign of No Prep Kings Season 6. The absence of updates led to rampant speculation. Fans turned to the drivers for answers, but even they were in the dark. Some drivers hinted that the season might air around the start of No Prep Kings Season 7, slated for April. This pushed expectations further, causing frustration as the weeks passed without an official announcement. Photo by Street Outlaws Live We've learned that Discovery Channel now holds the rights to No Prep Kings Season 6. The show was filmed, edited, and ready to air, but Discovery has yet to schedule it. This led to fears that the season might be scrapped altogether, but such an outcome seems unlikely given the significant investment involved in producing the show. Airing the season is almost a financial necessity for Discovery. A major factor in the scheduling seems to be avoiding competition with other major TV events. The NFL's Monday Night Football, in particular, has historically drawn viewers away from Street Outlaws. This competition led to speculations that Discovery might be strategizing the best possible time slot to maximize viewership without going head-to-head with high-profile sports events. Currently, Discovery is airing Mud Madness, a new show they hope will fill the void left by Street Outlaws. This choice of timing indicates that Discovery wants to introduce and establish new programming during a period with fewer competitive broadcasts. The assumption is that they prefer to launch new shows now rather than during the intense viewership period of Monday Night Football. Photo by Street Outlaws Live Given these considerations, it's plausible that No Prep Kings Season 6 will air later in the year, potentially in the fall. This strategy aligns with Discovery’s pattern from previous years, where they launched the last season in mid-September, running through December. Such timing would once again see the show competing with Monday Night Football, but it might be a necessary compromise to fit their programming schedule. As we await an official announcement, fans continue to speculate. The most likely scenario is a fall premiere, coinciding with the schedule of previous seasons. Discovery’s handling of Street Outlaws social media and promotions indicates a shift in focus away from the series, further supporting the theory that No Prep Kings might be aired during a less favorable time slot just to fulfill contractual obligations. Photo by Street Outlaws Live In summary, the delay in airing No Prep Kings Season 6 can be attributed to strategic programming decisions by Discovery Channel. While the exact air date remains uncertain, the most logical prediction points to a fall premiere, similar to the previous season's schedule. This timing would align with Discovery’s aim to balance their new and legacy programming against competitive TV events. Stay tuned, Street Outlaws fans! Keep checking the TV guides and stay active in fan communities for the latest updates. While the wait has been long, the return of No Prep Kings promises to be worth it.

  • Kallee Mills Upgrading and the Evolution of Her NPK Camaro

It's time to catch up on the latest buzz surrounding Kallee Mills and her NPK Camaro. If you've been following the action this season, you know it's been a bit of a rollercoaster for her, but fear not, because the team has been hard at work behind the scenes, gearing up for some serious competition. Photo by Kallee Mills Racing So, what's been happening with Kallee Mills and her ride? Well, let's break it down. She kicked off the season with a bang, hitting the track for the first race and following it up with another solid performance. However, things took a detour when she missed out on the next couple of events, including the championship starting race at Empire Dragway. Photo by Kallee Mills Racing But here's where it gets interesting. Despite the setbacks, Kallee Mills and her crew have been putting in the hours to fine-tune her NPK Camaro, aiming to make it faster and more competitive than ever. And this car already had some serious street cred. In season six, it made waves with a screw-blown combination, putting up some impressive numbers and even making it to the semifinals once. Now, if you've been keeping an eye on social media, you might have seen a recent picture of the car with no engine. Don't worry, they're not downsizing – they're upgrading. And get this, they're not just buying off-the-shelf motors, they're building their own. Talk about dedication! Rumor has it, they're going with Brad Anderson based engines for that extra oomph. Photo by Drag Illustrated But what about the powerplant? Are they switching things up? Well, it looks like they're sticking with the screw blower setup, and who can blame them? With three out of four races this season won by screw blown combinations, it's clear the rules are favoring that setup. Although, I've heard whispers that the ProCharger combo is giving them a run for their money. Next up on the agenda is the race at Flying H Dragway, and Kallee Mills and her crew are ready to make their mark. With her dad, Dwayne Mills, leading the charge as crew chief, you know they mean business. Dwayne's no stranger to the scene, with a track record that speaks for itself. Plus, with Kallee behind the wheel, you can bet they'll be giving the competition a run for their money. Photo by Kallee Mills Racing So, what can we expect this weekend? Well, if all goes according to plan, we could see Kallee Mills and her NPK Camaro shaking up the small field currently dominating NPK. And who knows, maybe we'll even see a record-breaking turnout of cars hitting the track. With so much anticipation building up, it's safe to say this weekend's race is one you won't want to miss. Be sure to stay tuned for all the latest updates and action-packed moments, right here on StreetOutlawsTalks.com. Until then, keep the rubber side down and the throttle wide open!

  • Anticipation Builds as Clay Cole and Nate Sayler Return to No Prep Racing Circuit

It's time to rev up those engines because Clay Cole and Nate Sayler are back in action this weekend at Flying H Dragway. If you've been itching for some adrenaline-pumping racing, this is one event you won't want to miss. Photo by Mallory Elizabeth Racing Now, before we dive into the excitement of the upcoming race, let's backtrack a bit. You might remember that both Clay and Nate were set to tear up the track at Added Power Dragway a couple of weeks back. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans, and the event got postponed. But fear not, because they're making their triumphant return to the scene at Flying H Dragway, and let me tell you, this track is shaping up to be something special. With a brand-spanking-new surface that's allegedly lightning fast, we're in for a wild ride. Photo by Nate Sayler Racing Now, let's talk about these two heavy hitters. Clay Cole and Nate Sayler aren't just your average racers – these guys are contenders. Nate, with his track record of two or three wins last season, including a Great 8 victory, knows how to dominate on the asphalt. And let's not forget about Clay, who came oh-so-close to clinching the win at the Texas race against Justin Swanstrom. Both of these guys are packing serious firepower under the hood, with 140 Pro Chargers giving them that extra edge on the competition. And here's a little insider tip for you: since their rides are vintage beauties built before '79, they're eligible for a 25lb weight break. Talk about a recipe for speed! Photo by Mallory Elizabeth Racing But it's not just about the hardware – it's about the talent behind the wheel. Nate's got Lee White, a top-notch tuner, in his corner, while Clay brings his A-game every time he hits the track. These guys mean business, and they're not here to play nice. But why's the field looking a bit slim this season? Well, it turns out that without the TV show airing, sponsorship dollars are hard to come by, making it tough for teams to foot the bill for travel and maintenance. But with racers like Clay and Nate back in the mix, things are bound to heat up. Photo by Clay Cole Racing So, buckle up, because this weekend's race is shaping up to be one for the books. Will Nate reclaim his title as the speed demon of the track? Or will Clay finally take home that elusive win? There's only one way to find out – tune in to StreetOutlawsTalks.com for all the latest updates and nail-biting action. Let's get ready to rumble!

Hey there, Street Outlaws fans! It's time for an update on the adrenaline-fueled world of No Prep Kings Season 7. Buckle up because we've got all the juicy details from the first official Championship race and a sneak peek at what's coming up next. Photo by Stat Guy So, who's leading the pack after the dust settled from the fiery competition? Well, it's none other than the formidable Justin Swanstrom, dominating the points board like a true champ. Right on his tail are the skilled racers Lizzy Musi and Jeff Lutz, locked in a tie, followed closely by Robin Roberts, Disco Dean, Giuseppe Gentile, and Murder Nova. And let's not forget about Scott Taylor, who's making waves after a stellar performance in the losers bracket. Photo by Stat Guy Concerning the losers bracket, there's some exciting news there too. While it may sound like a tough break, racers who excel in this bracket can still come out on top. Scott Taylor's win proves just that. Plus, with some modifications to the points system and payouts, there's still plenty of incentive to give it your all. Photo by Stat Guy Originally, the losers bracket offered five points per round and a $10,000 payday. But with the current field size, it's adjusted to three points per round and a $5,000 payout. Still not too shabby, right? And here's the kicker: winners in the losers bracket actually earn more points than those who bow out in the first round of the winners bracket. So, it's all to play for! Looking ahead, there's a lot to be excited about. With more races on the horizon, including the possibility of double points and increased participation from top-notch racers like Clay Cole, Nate Sayler, and David Gates, the competition is only going to get hotter. While we may not see a full 32-car field, a lineup of 26 to 28 cars would definitely up the ante and make for some thrilling showdowns. But no matter the size of the field, one thing's for sure: No Prep Kings Season 7 is shaping up to be one heck of a ride. And with the live feed adding an extra layer of excitement, there's no better time to be a Street Outlaws fan. Photo by Sreet Outlaws So, gear up and stay tuned for all the action unfolding this weekend and in the races to come. It's going to be one wild ride!

  • Justin Swanstrom Wins No Prep Kings at Empire Dragway and Takes the Lead in Points!

Hello, Street Outlaws fans! Welcome to another exciting update from Street Outlaws No Prep Kings. This past weekend, we witnessed an incredible event at Empire Dragway, where Justin Swanstrom emerged victorious in a thrilling race series. Let's dive into the highlights and see how Justin managed to clinch the win and take the lead in the points standings. Photo by Justin Swanstrom An Intense Lineup and Hard-Fought Victories Justin Swanstrom had a challenging lineup, racing against some of the best in the business. He faced off against Birdman, Jimmy Taylor, Murder Nova, Robin Roberts, and in a nail-biting final race, Lissy Musi. The competition was fierce, but Justin's determination and skill shone through. His new car, the 1969 Camaro named "Bad Blood," was put to the test and came out on top. Overcoming Obstacles on the Track The conditions at Empire Dragway were tough, with many racers struggling to keep their cars steady. Justin's car got loose on a couple of passes, but his exceptional driving skills allowed him to stay in control and avoid crossing the center line or hitting the wall. This tenacity and ability to pedal through tricky situations ultimately secured his victory. Photo by Justin Swanstrom A Well-Deserved Win and Leading the Points Standings This win marks Justin's first victory with "Bad Blood," and it propels him to the top of the Invitational point standings. His success is a testament to the hard work and relentless testing his team has put into the new car. Justin's performance has been nothing short of amazing, proving that he can compete with the best and come out victorious. A Shoutout to the Competitors Let's also give credit where it's due. Lissy Musi gave Justin a run for his money in the final race, showing that her nitrous-powered car is a formidable competitor. Despite the screw-blown and pro-charged combos receiving more allowances, Lissy's performance highlighted the potential of nitrous cars under the current rules. We hope to see her back on the track soon, as her absence in the upcoming races will be felt. Other notable mentions include Jerry Bird and Jeff Lutz, who both had impressive runs. Robin Roberts also showed great performance despite the challenging track conditions. The competition at Empire Dragway was fierce, and all the racers deserve recognition for their efforts. Looking Forward As we look ahead to the next few races, all eyes will be on Justin Swanstrom to see if he can maintain his lead in the points standings. His win at Empire Dragway has set a high bar, and the competition will undoubtedly be heating up. Stay tuned for more updates and exciting races from the Street Outlaws No Prep Kings series.
