  • Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings Season 7 Championship Start & Points System

Welcome, Street Outlaws fans! We’ve got some exciting news for you about the No Prep Kings Season 7 Championship. The season kicks off this weekend at Empower Dragway, after being postponed due to weather. This year promises to be thrilling with some new twists in the point system that are sure to keep us all on the edge of our seats. Photo by Mallory Elizabeth Photography  The New Points System This season introduces a slightly shorter schedule, with 11 races counting towards the championship, compared to the 14 from previous seasons. Despite the shorter schedule, the competition will be fiercer than ever with the introduction of a winners and losers bracket, a feature we've seen in the recent NPK races. Here’s how it breaks down: First Round on Friday: If you win, you advance to the winners bracket and earn 10 points. There are four rounds in the winners bracket, each awarding 10 points per win. Winning the winners bracket nets you 40 points, totaling 50 points including the initial 10 for showing up. Losers Bracket: If you lose in the first round on Friday, you move to the losers bracket. Just by making it to the first round of the losers bracket, you get 5 points. Each subsequent round win in the losers bracket earns you 5 points. With four rounds in total, that’s 20 points for winning all rounds, plus the 5 initial points, making a total of 25 points. This structure ensures that even if you have a rough start on Friday, you still have a solid chance to earn significant points and remain competitive. It levels the playing field, giving everyone, even those who might stumble early, a chance to claw back up the leaderboard. Photo by Mallory Elizabeth Photography  Why This Matters The new points system adds an extra layer of excitement and strategy. Top racers like Ryan, Kai, and Justin have all faced early round exits before, but now, they have a clearer path to recovery. This setup promises to keep the championship battle alive right up to the final race. Get Ready for an Exciting Season With the first race at Empower Dragway, Season 7 of No Prep Kings is set to be one of the most unpredictable and competitive yet. The unofficial point standings paint a picture of intense competition, with notable shifts at the top. Photo by Street Outlaws Live Leading the charge is Giuseppe Gentile, maintaining his stronghold at the number one spot. However, the plot thickens as he finds himself in a dead heat with Justin Swanstrom, making for a riveting race to the finish. Not far behind, the likes of Robin Roberts, Sean Ellington (celebrating his second NPK victory this year), and the illustrious Ryan Martin add further intrigue to the standings. • Controversy at the NPK Beech Bend: Disqualifications Shake Up Racing Scene

In recent events within the competitive realm of drag racing, notable figures Jim Howe and Jimmy Taylor have found themselves embroiled in a controversy surrounding their disqualifications for testing within a prohibited 200-mile radius of the esteemed Beach Bend Raceway. Last week, their performance at London Dragway, particularly Jim Howe's impressive video showcasing a remarkable speed of 207 miles per hour with an equally impressive ET of 3.76, garnered attention. However, proximity to the Ohio Race led to their disqualification, notably at the behest of Lutz, signaling a setback in their racing endeavors. Photo by Street Outlaws Live The discourse surrounding this issue delves into the question of whether, given the dwindling car count, a lenient approach should have been adopted, permitting Jim to participate sans accruing points towards the NPK championship. This notion, although contentious, finds some basis within the regulatory framework governing such competitions. Photo by Stat Guy Of particular interest is the apparent selectivity in enforcing this rule. While Jim and Jimmy's missteps have been duly noted, previous instances of similar infractions have gone unchallenged. The recall of Mike Murillo and Birdman's disqualification in season 5, following a protest from Kye Kelley, serves as a pertinent example. The sudden resurgence of enforcement raises questions regarding its timing and potential underlying motives. Speculation within the community suggests that Jim's formidable presence on the track may have influenced the decision-making process, as his absence could undoubtedly impact the competitive landscape. The implications extend to Jimmy Taylor, another esteemed racer whose talents have contributed to the vibrancy of the racing scene. Photo by Street Outlaws Live Amidst the controversy, the show must go on, and yesterday's races served as a testament to the resilience of the competitors. With a modest field of 22 cars, the intensity of competition remained undiminished, with notable mentions to Scott Taylor and Bobby Ducote for their commendable resurgence. Photo by Street Outlaws Live Looking forward, the Street Outlaws community awaits with bated breath to witness the unfolding drama and determine the eventual victors amidst adversity. As engines rev and anticipation mounts, the journey through the asphalt jungle continues. Stay tuned to StreetOutlawsTalks.com for the latest developments and insights into the world of drag racing.

  • Jeff Lutz's Mustang Rebuilt and Ready to Race After No Prep Kings Crash

Hello everyone, welcome to Street Outlaws Talks! Today, we’re diving into the latest update on Jeff Lutz’s Mustang, which has been rebuilt and is ready to tear up the track again after the recent No Prep Kings (NPK) crash. Photo by LUTZ RACE CARS As many of you know, Jeff Lutz introduced his Mustang to the NPK races just a short while ago. Unfortunately, he suffered a pretty serious crash at the Flying H Dragstrip. Thankfully, the damage wasn't as extensive as it could have been. Incredibly, just three days after the crash, the team was already hard at work repairing the car, and it’s now set to make its comeback this weekend. Recently, we saw Jeff running his GTO at the Ohio race. But now, the Mustang is back and ready for battle. From the photos, it’s clear that the car has a new front end. The team must have also addressed any chassis damage to ensure it's race-ready. The ProCharger setup looks immaculate, and while the car might not be painted or wrapped yet, that's a minor detail. The priority is getting it back on the track. Photo by LUTZ RACE CARS Jeff’s GTO has always been a powerhouse, having clinched victories in two NPK events. However, when it comes to choosing between turbos and ProCharger, the ProCharger setup seems to be the better option for NPK and varying track conditions. Jeff has been a turbo guy for over two decades, so seeing him switch to a ProCharger is quite a change. But, given the consistent performance of ProCharger cars, especially under favorable air conditions, this move makes a lot of sense. It's exciting to think about Jeff racing the Mustang. He’s always been known for his turbo setups, but the consistency with those setups hasn’t always been there. The ProCharger, however, promises more reliable performance, which is crucial in these competitive events. There’s also some curiosity about whether Jeff owns the Mustang outright. He hinted at plans to paint it yellow, which suggests he might have bought it. However, the specifics of ownership are personal and don't really affect what we’re all here to see – great racing. Photo by LUTZ RACE CARS This Mustang is not new to the NPK scene. Axman ran it in season 6, and Steven Brindle had it back in season 5. It’s a proven winner and a competitive beast on the track, equipped with a Prine Hemi and an MH7 ProCharger. This combination is undoubtedly powerful and ready to make waves in any NPK event. We’re all eager to see what Jeff Lutz can do with this revamped Mustang. It’s fast, fierce, and in the hands of a seasoned racer like Jeff, it’s bound to be a serious contender. Stay tuned for more updates and get ready to see this Mustang in action! Don't forget to subscribe, comment, and stay tuned for more Street Outlaws news right here on Street Outlaws Talks!

  • Monza Stepping Away from Racing & Chevelle Up for Sale

Hello, Street Outlaws fans! Welcome back to StreetOutlawsTalks.com. Today, we've got some significant news to discuss. It's official: Monza is stepping away from racing, and his beautiful Chevelle will soon be up for sale. As always, don't forget to subscribe, comment, and stay tuned for more updates on Street Outlaws, No Prep Kings, and all the other Street Outlaw shows. Photo by Team Monza 405 Monza's Retirement Monza, a fan favorite in the Street Outlaws community, has decided to retire from racing—at least for the time being. Known for his cool demeanor and badass driving skills, Monza has been a staple on the streets and in the No Prep Kings (NPK) series. However, he's decided to take a step back, and his plans for the future remain uncertain. Monza still owns his iconic split bumper Camaro and the stunning Chevelle he built for NPK events. The Chevelle, a meticulously crafted machine, has been certified, dyno-tested, and proven to be a powerhouse on the track. Despite its potential, Monza has chosen not to continue participating in NPK events, leading to his decision to sell the car. The Chevelle: A Masterpiece for Sale The Chevelle is not just any race car; it's an absolute masterpiece. Built to compete with the best in NPK, it features a potent Hemi combination with a Procharger, making it a force to be reckoned with. This car is capable of delivering incredible performance, and it's sure to attract serious buyers who appreciate the craftsmanship and power it offers. While it's disappointing to see Monza step away from racing, there's hope that he might return in the future. His contributions to Street Outlaws have been significant, and fans like us would love nothing more than to see him back on the track. Photo by Pro Line Racing Future Prospects There’s also speculation about whether Brandon, who currently tunes both the Chevelle and the split bumper Camaro, might take up the mantle and race the Chevelle. Watching Brandon step up and race this beast would be an exciting prospect, but only time will tell if that becomes a reality. For now, we have to accept that Monza is stepping away from the racing scene. It's a tough pill to swallow, especially for long-time fans who have followed his journey from the streets to NPK. However, the racing world is unpredictable, and there's always a chance that Monza might make a comeback. Final Thoughts It's always tough to see a beloved racer step away from the sport, but we respect Monza's decision and wish him all the best in his future endeavors. Whether he returns to racing or pursues other passions, Monza will always be a legendary figure in the Street Outlaws community. Stay tuned for more updates, and let's keep our fingers crossed for Monza's return. In the meantime, we can look forward to seeing who ends up with the Chevelle and how they use this incredible machine in the racing world. • Scott Taylor Going Back to ProCharger: The End of Turbos on No Prep Kings?

Hello, everyone! Welcome back to Street Outlaws Talks. Today, we have some exciting news to discuss regarding Scott Taylor’s return to ProCharger for the remainder of No Prep Kings (NPK) Season 7. Photo by Scott Taylor Motorsports It’s quite the coincidence. Just yesterday, we reported on Daddy Dave’s switch back to ProCharger. Not long after, Scott Taylor went live on Facebook, showing us his teardown of the Tracto Camaro to revert it back to a ProCharger setup. Unlike Daddy Dave, who will miss this weekend’s race, Scott is moving at lightning speed to ensure he doesn’t miss out. Scott Taylor’s transition back to ProCharger is swift, thanks to having all the necessary parts from when his car previously ran with this setup. The headers and other components were ready to go, making this switch relatively seamless. Interestingly, he didn’t make significant changes to the chassis when he first switched to twin turbos, similar to Daddy Dave’s situation. A bit of history: Scott experimented with turbos back in 2016 at America’s Outlaws Live, one of the initial big no prep events. After trying turbos on John Doe, he reverted to nitrous and later adopted ProCharger when NPK started. Despite running impressively fast on a prepped track with turbos, clocking in at 213 mph, the NPK track conditions haven’t been favorable for turbos. They generate immense power, which is difficult to harness effectively on a no prep track, especially during the crucial first 330 feet. Photo by Scott Taylor Motorsports In NPK, the challenge with turbos lies in their inconsistency. The initial power delivery is critical, and turbos often struggle to apply their full potential on the unprepared surfaces. ProChargers, on the other hand, offer a more manageable and consistent power application, which suits the NPK track conditions better. We still see some racers sticking with turbos, like Reaper, Jeff Lutz, Birdman, and Chris Rankin. However, the recent shift back to ProCharger by two prominent racers, despite the rules seemingly favoring turbos on paper, underscores the real-world challenges of running turbos in NPK events. Scott Taylor’s move back to ProCharger is not just about preference; it’s about performance. He’s been a fixture in NPK since season 1, making it to numerous finals but yet to clinch an Invitational event win. This switch could be the game-changer he needs. Photo by Scott Taylor Motorsports As we watch Scott Taylor and other racers adapt and evolve their setups, it’s clear that the quest for the perfect combination is ongoing. Will turbos make a comeback, or is this the beginning of the end for them in NPK? Only time will tell. Stay tuned for more updates and insights on Street Outlaws Talks. Don’t forget to subscribe, comment, and keep the discussion going!

  • Daddy Dave Ditching Turbos & Going Back to ProCharger for No Prep Kings Season 7

Well, hello everybody! We have some exciting news to share with you on StreetOutlawsTalks.com. Daddy Dave is officially ditching his twin turbos and returning to a ProCharger setup for No Prep Kings Season 7. Photo by Daddy Dave For those of you who’ve been following the series, this might come as a bit of a surprise. Daddy Dave had switched to a twin turbo setup just before the season began. His decision to switch was intriguing, given that last season’s rule changes added weight to the 136 ProCharger he previously ran, yet reduced weight on the 140 ProCharger, making the cars just as fast, if not faster. Turbos undeniably offer immense power. They outpace screw blowers, ProChargers, and naturally aspirated engines in sheer horsepower. Currently, turbo setups hold the door car world records for both the eighth mile and the quarter mile. However, those records were set on fully prepped tracks, which is not the case in NPK events. On NPK’s less-than-perfect tracks, particularly in the second half, turbo cars struggle to apply their power effectively. This was evident in Ohio, where many racers experienced traction issues on the back end of the track. In contrast, screw-blown and ProCharger-equipped cars, while perhaps not as quick in the eighth mile, manage to maintain impressive speeds and stability. For example, Jim Howe recently clocked 207 mph with a screw blower. ProCharged cars might not hit those numbers but still perform reliably, often exceeding 200 mph. Photo by Daddy Dave Daddy Dave’s return to ProCharger isn’t just a shot in the dark. He has a proven track record with ProChargers on NPK. Although he initially experimented with a twin turbo setup on Goliath in past seasons, it was the switch to a Hemi ProCharger that significantly boosted his performance and competitiveness. This season, despite some promising moments with the twin turbos, the results have not met expectations. After six races, it became clear that the turbo setup wasn’t the best fit for the varied track conditions of NPK. So, Daddy Dave’s decision to revert to a ProCharger seems like the smart move, aiming to replicate the success he found in previous seasons. While a few racers like Scott Taylor and Birdman continue to battle with their turbo setups, the general consensus in the paddock leans towards ProChargers and screw blowers being the more reliable and competitive choices under current rules. Even Jeff Lutz is expected to lean towards a ProCharger when his Mustang returns to the track. Photo by Daddy Dave All eyes will be on Daddy Dave as he makes this pivotal switch. If history is any guide, this could be the turning point he needs to climb back to the top. Here’s hoping for an exciting and successful season ahead! Stay tuned for more updates, and don’t forget to subscribe and comment. Keep it locked on StreetOutlawsTalks.com for all the latest in the world of Street Outlaws and No Prep Kings!

  • Ryan Martin’s Procharged Gray Car Returns at No Prep Kings Ohio

Hello, Street Outlaws fans! Today, we’ve got some exciting news about Ryan Martin and his famous gray car making a triumphant return at the No Prep Kings event in Ohio. As always, don’t forget to subscribe, comment, and stay tuned for more updates on the Street Outlaws No Prep Kings race series and other Street Outlaws shows. Photo by Street Outlaws Live It’s official: Ryan Martin has brought out his gray car for this weekend’s No Prep Kings event at National Trail Raceway. Recent photos from Bobby Ducote’s live feed confirm that the gray car is on-site and ready to race. Ryan recently tested the car and has opted for the 140 ProCharger, which allows him to weigh as little as 2,775 pounds. This decision comes after the 136 combination he ran last season had an additional 50-pound weight penalty added. Ryan has been running a screw-blown combination in the first five races this season, which he claimed was faster than the gray car. With this setup, he has already clinched a victory, possibly at the second or third race, and reached the finals in the most recent event. Despite this success, it seems Ryan has decided to bring back the gray car, perhaps for its reliability and proven performance. Photo by Street Outlaws Live The gray car is no stranger to victory, having won the season 4 and season 5 championships, as well as the season 6 team championship. Clearly, this car has a strong track record and could be a formidable competitor this weekend. The weather conditions are expected to be favorable for ProCharger cars, which thrive in good air. This could provide a slight edge for Ryan and his gray car. However, screw-blown cars also perform well under these conditions, so it will be interesting to see how the competition unfolds. In addition to Ryan’s return with the gray car, we’re seeing more racers join the fray today, which might result in a full field at National Trail Raceway. Last season, this was the first race and it proved to be a challenging track, so we can expect some thrilling action. Photo by Street Outlaws Live Interestingly, Jeff Lutz is also making a comeback with his GTO after running a Mustang in the last couple of races. Despite a crash in the last race, his team has nearly rebuilt the Mustang, so we can anticipate seeing it back on the track soon. As for this weekend, all eyes will be on Ryan Martin and his gray car. Will it prove to be the winning combination once again? We can’t wait to find out. Let’s gear up for an awesome show and hope for a full 32-car field, something we haven’t seen yet this season. Stay tuned and let’s see what unfolds at National Trail Raceway!

  • Dana White's Entry into Street Outlaws: What Fans Need to Know!

In the world of Street Outlaws and No Prep Kings, change is inevitable. But one recent development has caught the attention of fans everywhere: Dana White's entry into the scene. The UFC president's involvement has sparked rumors and speculation about the future of both Street Outlaws and No Prep Kings. Photo by Dana White The big question on everyone's mind is: What exactly has Dana White bought into? Some say it's just No Prep Kings, while others speculate that he's acquired the entire Street Outlaws franchise. Personally, I lean towards the latter. It just doesn't make sense for him to only get involved with half of the equation, especially considering the popularity of the street racing aspect among fans. However, despite the rumors swirling around, Dana White himself has yet to make any official statement. This hasn't stopped some drivers from publicly acknowledging his involvement, though. Big names like Shawn, Farmtruck, and AZN have alluded to Dana White's entry into Street Outlaws, sparking even more excitement and anticipation among fans. Photo by Street Outlaws Live It's interesting to note how this information is being discussed. While the drivers seem to have insider knowledge, Dana White's silence leaves much to the imagination. Perhaps there are contractual reasons for the drivers' cautious approach, or maybe they're simply building hype for what's to come. As for Dana White's plans for Street Outlaws and No Prep Kings, it's anyone's guess. Will we see immediate changes, or will he take a more observational approach this season before implementing his vision in Season 8? Only time will tell. One thing's for sure: when Dana White finally does make his official announcement, it will mark one of the biggest changes in Street Outlaws history. Photo by Street Outlaws Live So, as we eagerly await Dana White's revelation, let's brace ourselves for what could be a game-changing moment in the world of street racing. Keep your eyes peeled and stay tuned for updates as this exciting chapter unfolds.
