  • Damon Merchant: Upgrades and the Potential Comeback to No Prep Kings Racing!

One of the most burning questions echoing across the street racing community lately has been, "Where is Damon Merchant?" Last season, Damon made quite the splash with his unique engine setup, leaving competitors in the dust and claiming the number one spot in the Saturday Invitational point standings. Photo by Mallory Elizabeth Photography Despite lacking the flashy sponsorships and massive stacker trailers that many others rely on, Damon's performance spoke volumes. Winning two invitationals and a notable grade eight, he established himself as a force to be reckoned with. His unexpected rise to dominance was a testament to raw talent and a relentless drive to win. Recently, Damon has resurfaced on social media, particularly on his Facebook page under the handle "Rogue 405." What's more intriguing is his latest endeavor: upgrading his controversial engine. Last season's setup, which raised eyebrows with its unconventional features like a Y block and non-Billet crankshaft, is undergoing a significant overhaul. Damon is opting for a new Billet Callies Crankshaft, aiming to enhance durability and performance. Photo by Rogue 405 The engine in question, with its MBE cylinder heads and potent wedge motor, was not without controversy last season. Despite rule changes affecting its weight break eligibility, Damon remains undeterred. Speculation is rife whether he'll return to the No Prep Kings series, where his setup could still wield formidable power, albeit with different competitive dynamics. While Damon hasn't confirmed his return, recent hints about the No Prep Elite Series suggest he's keeping his options open. His potential comeback could shake up the current standings and add an unpredictable edge to the championship race. Photo by Mallory Elizabeth Photography As fans eagerly await news from the Rogue 405 camp, one thing is clear: Damon Merchant's comeback, if it happens, promises excitement, controversy, and a renewed challenge to the status quo in street racing. Stay tuned to Street Outlaws Talks for all the latest updates on Damon Merchant and the pulse of the street racing world. Whether he returns or not, his story continues to inspire and intrigue enthusiasts everywhere.

  • STREET OUTLAWS - Kye Kelley’s New Chapter: Has He Found Love Again After Splitting with Lizzy Musi?

Speculation has been rampant ever since Street Outlaws star Kye Kelley parted ways with his longtime partner and girlfriend, Lizzy Musi. The abrupt conclusion of their six-year relationship has given rise to numerous rumors. However, the focus should now shift to Kye Kelley’s current romantic status. Photo by Radical Speed Is it indeed the case that he has already found a new love interest? And if so, who is Kye Kelley’s new girlfriend? Kye Kelley and drag racer Lizzy Musi's relationship began shortly after his divorce was finalized. They have been a couple since 2017 and got engaged in July 2021 when Kye proposed at a racing event. Their wedding was scheduled for Saturday, November 19, 2022. However, their plans were disrupted when Lizzy Musi was unexpectedly diagnosed with breast cancer, which drastically changed the course of her life. Despite their long-standing connection, recent events have sadly resulted in a heart-wrenching separation. Kye Kelley and Lizzy Musi have parted ways. Lizzy Musi addressed the breakup in a heartfelt Facebook post back in July. She detailed how Kye’s absence during the most challenging period of her life, primarily due to his busy racing commitments, contributed to their separation. Lizzy wrote, “I don’t think I can do this anymore.” She explained that Kye attended only one appointment at MD Anderson and just one chemotherapy session, rarely calling or texting to check on her. Lizzy expressed gratitude for Kye’s initial support but highlighted the loneliness she felt during her cancer treatment. Photo by Lizzy Musi Lizzy attempted to mend things, but Kye expressed that he just wanted to remain friends, leaving Lizzy to cope with her feelings and the breakup alone. Lizzy has been courageously battling breast cancer, earning immense admiration from fans who have rallied behind her with unwavering support during her treatment. Since their separation, Kye Kelley has been actively focusing on his racing career and spending quality time with his family. His social media is filled with updates about his races and precious moments with his children. As of now, he has not officially entered into a new relationship or introduced a new romantic interest to the public. The No Prep Kings series has been buzzing with activity as they prepare to resume action in Tulsa in the coming weeks. Fans are eager to see how the dynamics will play out without the partnership of Kye and Lizzy. It's uncertain whether they will continue to race together, pursue separate paths, or take a break from the spotlight to concentrate on their personal lives. The absence of their formidable partnership will undoubtedly create a void within the racing community. Photo by Street Outlaws Live However, recent sightings and social media interactions have sparked curiosity about Kye’s personal life. While there is no confirmed information about a new girlfriend, Kye has been seen enjoying time with friends and family, indicating that he is finding solace and happiness in his support network. • Daddy Dave's New Procharged Setup Ready for No Prep Kings Brainerd!

Hello Street Outlaws fans! Today, we’re diving into some exciting updates about Daddy Dave and his ProCharger combination that’s all set for next week’s No Prep Kings event in Brainerd. Photo by Daddy Dave If you’ve been following the Street Outlaws series, you’ll remember that Daddy Dave made a splash last season with his Audi, equipped with a ProCharger setup. He had an impressive run, even clinching a victory at one of the events. However, with the rule changes this season, Dave decided to switch things up and try twin turbos, inspired by the record-setting performances of extreme racing engines and car Stevens on prepped tracks. Despite his best efforts, the twin turbos didn’t deliver the consistency he was aiming for. The car struggled to perform at its peak, prompting Daddy Dave to revert to his trusty ProCharger setup. This move mirrors Scott Taylor’s recent decision to go back to what works best. But it’s not just a simple return to the old setup. Daddy Dave has made some significant modifications to enhance performance. He’s repositioned the engine and tweaked various elements of the car to optimize its run. Additionally, he’s upgraded from last season’s F4 136 ProCharger to the more powerful F4 140-1. This new ProCharger not only adds an extra 50 lbs but also boosts power and performance, giving Dave a solid edge. Photo by Daddy Dave Currently, Daddy Dave is sitting around 20th in the points standings. While this might seem like a setback, we’re still early in the championship season with only four points races down and eight more to go. There’s ample time for him to catch up, especially with his revamped setup. The competition is fierce this season. Ryan Martin is on fire, Murder Nova is performing exceptionally well, and other heavy hitters like Justin Swanstrom, Robin Roberts, and the infamous “Youppi” are all bringing their A-game. Despite this, Daddy Dave has shown he has the potential to compete at the highest level. Last season, he proved his mettle by securing an NPK event win, something he hadn’t achieved before. With his new ProCharger setup and the adjustments he’s made, there’s every reason to believe he can pull off another victory this season. Photo by Daddy Dave All eyes will be on Brainerd next week to see how Daddy Dave performs with his new combination. We’re rooting for him to make a strong comeback and climb up the rankings. Stay tuned for more updates and let’s see if Daddy Dave can add another NPK win to his name! • Big Grudge Race Coming at No Prep Kings Brainerd: Murder Nova vs. Jim Howe

Hello, everybody! This is Tre Outlaws from No Prep Talk, bringing you the latest scoop on the Street Outlaws scene. Today, we're diving into an exciting matchup set for the No Prep Kings event in Brainerd next week. If you're as hyped as I am, don't forget to subscribe and comment for more updates on all things Street Outlaws, No Prep Kings, and more! Photo by Street Outlaws Live This upcoming race is one many fans have eagerly anticipated. Murder Nova, piloted by Shawn Ellington, is set to face off against Jim Howe for the first time in three seasons. Both drivers began competing in the NPK series around season four, yet they've never lined up against each other until now. This showdown promises to be an intense battle during the Grudge Racing segment in Brainerd. While Grudge Racing at NPK events often serves as a testing ground, this race stands out. It's not just a test pass; it's a significant matchup between two of the fastest cars in the series. Historically, most grudge matches don't carry the same weight as elimination rounds, but this one is different. Scheduled for the second round of Grudge Racing in Brainerd, this race is a must-watch. Murder Nova has been a model of consistency this season, rarely aborting a pass and maintaining impressive speed. Jim Howe, on the other hand, has a reputation for being extremely fast but struggles with consistency. Despite this, Jim's car has set impressive records, including the only known 27 MPH run in NPK and a strong record against top competitors like Ryan Martin. Photo by Street Outlaws Live In recent events, Jim Howe's performance has been noteworthy. He triumphed in the Outlaw Big Tire category, defeating Nate Taylor, another top-tier racer in NPK. This sets the stage for an exhilarating race against Murder Nova, who has been in top form this season with two NPK Invitational wins already under his belt. Jim Howe has also secured a win, making this matchup even more compelling. Both racers are highly competitive and dedicated to their craft. There's speculation about whether this race will involve a cash prize or another incentive, but regardless, both drivers will undoubtedly give it their all. It's rare to see a big grudge race in NPK, which adds to the excitement and anticipation for this event. Grudge races are crucial for NPK's appeal, offering thrilling previews before the main eliminations. They add a layer of excitement and showcase the drivers' skills and strategies. While most drivers reserve their best for the $330,000 Invitational event, this grudge race between Murder Nova and Jim Howe promises to be a highlight of the Brainerd event. Photo by Jimmy Howe Stay tuned for more updates and make sure to catch this epic showdown. Whether you're Team Murder Nova or rooting for Jim Howe, it's going to be a race to remember. For more updates and in-depth coverage of the Street Outlaws and NPK series, keep following Street Outlaws Talks. Let's keep the adrenaline pumping and the engines roaring!

  • Larry Larson's New No Prep Kings Chevy II: A Game-Changer in the Making

Hello everyone, welcome back to Street Outlaws Talk! Today, we have some exciting news for all you No Prep Kings fans out there. Larry Larson, a name synonymous with speed and innovation in the drag racing world, has officially finished his new No Prep Kings (NPK) Chevy II. This car is set to shake up the competition, and we can't wait to see it in action! Photo by Mallory Elizabeth Photography Larry Larson has been a formidable force in drag racing for many years. Many of you might remember his iconic Chevy II that dominated Drag Week, winning an impressive six years in a row. That car, with its distinctive paint job, was a legend in its own right, running 6-second quarter miles with a heavy, all-steel, twin-turbo setup. However, times have changed, and the demands of NPK racing have led Larry to build a purpose-built NPK car. While this new Chevy II looks similar to his old Drag Week car, it’s a completely different beast under the hood. Designed specifically for the No Prep Kings series, this car is lighter, faster, and more competitive. Over the years, Larry has experimented with various setups, including his controversial S10 truck and the Cadillac that he ran for many seasons. The Cadillac, which started with a single turbo and later switched to a ProCharger, proved to be a strong contender in the NPK series. Despite being overweight for the ProCharger rules last season, Larry’s skill and the car’s performance kept them in the race. Photo by Larry Larson This new Chevy II, however, is built to fit perfectly within the current NPK rules. It’s expected to run at 2750 pounds with a 140 S1 ProCharger, a combination that should make it a formidable competitor on the track. Larry has been seen at several NPK events this season, supporting the series and getting ready to unleash his new machine. There are still eight more points races left this season, and while it’s uncertain if Larry will make it to the next race, there's a good chance we’ll see him competing soon. With the car now mostly finished, it’s all about wiring, testing, and fine-tuning to get it race-ready. The competition in NPK is fierce, with a highly competitive field where anyone can win on any given day. Last season, we saw full fields regularly, but this season has been different. Despite this, the main event remains extremely competitive with a 16-car field. The addition of Larry’s new Chevy II will undoubtedly add another level of excitement and competition. Photo by Larry Larson We look forward to seeing Larry Larson back on the track with his new Chevy II. It’s going to be fast, it’s going to be competitive, and it’s going to be a game-changer in the NPK series. Stay tuned for more updates and don’t forget to subscribe and comment. Let's keep the excitement alive for Street Outlaws and No Prep Kings! Stay Tuned for More! Thank you for visiting Street Outlaws Talk. • Street Outlaws Side Bet: Ryan and Shawn vs. Kye Kelley and Justin

As we dive into the heart of the street racing season, tensions are high and side bets are in full swing. Among the heated rivalries, one that's been turning heads is between two formidable teams: Ryan and Shawn versus Kye Kelley and Justin. At the season's outset, a wager was laid down, igniting excitement among fans and drivers alike. The stakes? Determined by the combined points of both drivers on each team. Currently, Justin holds the top spot with Kye Kelley trailing behind in eighth, tallying up to 190 points. On the other side, Shawn sits comfortably at fourth with Ryan close behind in fifth, totaling 197 points. This puts Ryan and Shawn in the lead, albeit by a narrow margin. Photo by Stat Guy Shawn's recent victory at the NPK event solidified his prowess on the track, while Justin has maintained his position at the top of the leaderboard. Ryan, despite a setback with a recent engine blowout, has been a force to be reckoned with, his car performing as flawlessly as ever. However, the road ahead is not without its challenges. Justin has been fine-tuning his setup, aiming to overcome his struggles during daytime races. Meanwhile, Kye Kelley seems to be grappling with consistency issues, though improvements are expected as the season progresses. Photo by Street Outlaws Live The question on everyone's minds is whether Kye Kelley and Justin can close the gap and surpass Ryan and Shawn. While the latter duo boasts consistency and speed, the former are no strangers to victory either. With the right adjustments and determination, the playing field could quickly shift. Photo by Mallory Elizabeth Photography The uncertainty surrounding Kye Kelley's tuning situation adds an intriguing layer to the mix. • Fireball Drama: Ryan Martin's Explosive Weekend and NPK Showdown!

Hey there Street Outlaws fans! It's time for another juicy update from the world of no prep racing. This past weekend was all about Ryan Martin and his jaw-dropping performance that had everyone talking. If you missed the action, don't worry, we've got you covered. Photo by Upshift So, let's dive right into it. Ryan Martin, the man, the myth, the legend, was tearing up the track with his Fireball Camaro. Things were looking good, with Ryan taking on some serious competition, including the likes of Kye Kelley. And guess what? He beat Kye Kelley, adding another victory to his impressive record. But that's just the beginning of the story.Fireball Drama: Ryan Martin's Explosive Weekend and NPK Showdown Video by Upshift In the semi-finals of the winners bracket, Ryan faced off against none other than Murder Nova. And let me tell you, what went down next was nothing short of spectacular, and a little bit terrifying too. Ryan's engine decided to call it quits in the most dramatic fashion, throwing a connecting rod and creating a massive fireball that lit up the track. It was a moment that had everyone holding their breath. Photo by Richard Rowe Thankfully, Ryan emerged from the fiery ordeal unscathed, and while the same can't be said for his engine, the Fireball Camaro is still standing strong. But let's talk turkey here – fixing that engine won't come cheap. We're talking about a billet block, possibly a new set of rods, and who knows what else. It's a pricey fix, but when you're in the world of no prep racing, these things happen. Now, let's switch gears for a moment and talk about Ryan's other ride – the Grey Car. This season, Ryan's been showing off his skills in both the Fireball Camaro and the Grey Car, with the latter proving to be just as formidable on the track. Despite a little mishap with the screw setup, Ryan's been making waves with the Grey Car, and there's no doubt he'll be a force to be reckoned with for the rest of the season. Photo by Fireball Camaro Speaking of which, while Ryan might not be sitting at the top of the leaderboard right now, don't count him out just yet. He's proven time and time again that he's the comeback king, and with the second half of the season on the horizon, you can bet he'll be gunning for that individual championship title once again. So, whether it's the screw car or the Grey Car, one thing's for sure – Ryan Martin is a force to be reckoned with on the NPK circuit. So keep your eyes peeled, because you never know what Ryan has up his sleeve. Until next time, keep it rubber side down and pedal to the metal!
