Scott Taylor has become a notable figure in the street racing community, particularly through his appearances on Discovery Channel's "Street Outlaws." Hailing from Petal, Mississippi, Scott's passion for racing was deeply influenced by his father, a well-regarded driver of a 1967 Camaro. Despite his father's reservations about the sport, Scott's enthusiasm led him to pursue a career in racing.

Beyond the racetrack, Scott is a dedicated entrepreneur. He owns Taylor Towing and Right Trailers - Hattiesburg, both based in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. His wife, Heather, plays a pivotal role in managing these businesses, especially during Scott's racing commitments. The couple's twins, Scotty and Sophie, often accompany them to races, underscoring the family's collective passion for the sport.

Scott's racing journey with "Street Outlaws" spans over a decade, featuring in series like "No Prep Kings," "America's List," and "Mega Cash Days." His vehicle lineup is impressive:

  • John Doe: A 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass equipped with a Proline Hemi and ProCharger.

  • Chee Doe: A 1969 Chevrolet Camaro featuring a Proline Hemi and ProCharger.

  • Lil Goldie: Referred to as the "New Car" in his collection.

  • The C10: Another notable addition to his fleet.

The genesis of "John Doe" is particularly intriguing. Upon receiving an invitation to join "Street Outlaws," Scott had merely a week to prepare a car. He sourced the Cutlass body from Texas and, with the help of his team, assembled it in record time. The car's name emerged from a jest about its anonymity, leading to the moniker "John Doe."

Scott's commitment to racing is evident in his continuous efforts to enhance his vehicles. In 2016, he transitioned "John Doe" from a nitrous setup to twin 98mm Precision turbochargers, collaborating with Mike Murillo and his team for the upgrade. This move aimed to boost the car's performance in the competitive no-prep racing scene.

His dedication has yielded significant achievements. In the 2015 season, Scott secured a runner-up position at Outlaw Armageddon, finishing alongside Justin "Big Chief" Shearer. He also clinched a victory at Border Wars, earning a $21,000 prize. Such accomplishments have not only elevated his status in the racing community but also contributed to an estimated net worth of around $500,000.

Family remains central to Scott's endeavors. Married to Heather since 2004, their twins, born in 2010, are integral to their racing adventures. The family's collective support underscores the deep-rooted passion they share for the sport.

In essence, Scott Taylor's journey intertwines entrepreneurial ventures, a profound love for racing, and unwavering family support. His story serves as a testament to dedication, resilience, and the pursuit of one's passions.
