Hello, Street Outlaws fans! At Street Outlaws Talks, we’re all about keeping you updated on your favorite drivers, cars, and projects, and today we’re diving into the exciting progress Monza has made on his iconic split bumper Camaro.
Monza’s sinister black Camaro has been a fan favorite since Street Outlaws first hit the airwaves. Over the years, it’s evolved through various setups, from nitrous to turbocharged powerplants. Now, Monza is taking things to a whole new level with a ProCharged Hemi engine—one that’s bound to shake things up on the street and the track.

The New Powerhouse Under the Hood
The ProCharged Hemi that Monza is dropping into the Camaro has a storied history of its own. Originally part of Scott Taylor’s lineup, this engine made its mark in the famed Track Doe Firebird before moving to the Track Doe Camaro. After Scott transitioned to his John Doe project, the Hemi found a new home there, proving its capabilities on small tires. With Monza’s skilled hands at work, this engine is getting yet another chance to shine in one of Street Outlaws’ most legendary cars.
Big Changes for Big Gains
One of the biggest updates to the Camaro is the motor placement. Monza is moving the engine six inches back, improving the car’s weight distribution and handling. This adjustment is a game-changer, making the Camaro more versatile for both track and street racing.

Weight is another area where the Camaro is seeing major improvements. Monza estimates the car will tip the scales at 2,700–2,750 pounds—lighter than before. Paired with the F4-136 ProCharger, this setup is a serious contender. While this ProCharger was controversial in some racing circles and even banned in certain events, it remains a top-tier performer. For Monza, who’s not focusing on NPK (No Prep Kings), it’s the perfect choice to dominate in grudge racing, street events, or even small tire competitions.
Proven Success with This Combo
Scott Taylor’s success with this exact engine and ProCharger combination is a promising sign for Monza. On his John Doe car, Taylor was a force to be reckoned with, especially on small tires. If Monza can replicate even a fraction of that success, his Camaro is going to be a tough opponent for anyone who lines up against it.

What’s Next?
As the rebuild progresses, we’re all eagerly waiting to see the finished product. Monza’s Camaro is shaping up to be faster and more powerful than ever, with the perfect mix of experience, engineering, and raw power behind it. Whether he takes it to the streets or sticks to grudge racing, there’s no doubt this build will leave fans—and competitors—in awe.
