Pat Musi, renowned engine builder and prominent figure on Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings, appeared on the latest installment of The Wes Buck Show to share an update about his daughter, Lizzy. In April of this year, Lizzy Musi revealed that she had been diagnosed with stage four breast cancer.
Pat acknowledged the challenging period they were going through, stating “It’s a tough time. The diagnosis was a tough time.” He emphasized that he maintains constant communication with Lizzy and is attentive to her emotions. The doctors have advised them to remain focused and continue with their regular routines. In fact, they have encouraged Lizzy to travel to Columbus, and they intend to honor that recommendation by accompanying her.

The upcoming 2023 season of Street Outlaws is scheduled to commence in Ohio at National Trail Raceway, and it brings with it a fresh team format. Among the drivers, fans have the opportunity to vote for Lizzy Musi as the eighth team captain. However, there have been instances of negative feedback on social media regarding her participation in the event.
Pat addressed this issue, mentioning, “We’ve got a couple of keyboard warriors saying she should worry about her health.” He further emphasized that mental health plays a vital role in their career and that Lizzy needs to remain optimistic, knowing that she has a future ahead of her.

Pat rhetorically questioned, “Why would you want to discourage her from that?” He asserted that they are fully supportive of Lizzy and will respect her decisions. Both her physical health and mental well-being are of utmost importance, as she needs to feel a sense of purpose.
Throughout the conversation, Pat continued to commend his daughter, emphasizing her unwavering positivity. “I told her the other night she’s the bravest out of all of us,” the New Jersey native said. “You’re handling it well, and she really is. She’s got a good attitude.”
As mentioned earlier, the Musi family intends to commence the Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings season on June 2-3 in Ohio, unless Lizzy decides otherwise. “We’ll take it a day at a time, and I assure you, if she has any struggles or the doctors say she needs to do something, we’ll take it a day at a time,” said Pat. “It shouldn’t be a keyboard warrior saying that. I believe she needs something to look forward to.”
At the racetrack, Lizzy, along with the other NPK racers, crew, and fans, will discover the individual who has garnered the highest number of votes as the People's Choice Captain.
Pat added, “She’s focused,” He recalled the day when Lizzy received her diagnosis while they were engaged in testing activities. Despite the news, he was prepared to leave the track immediately and take her wherever necessary, demonstrating his commitment to her well-being.
Pat shared a conversation he had with Lizzy, recounting her words: "Dad, I feel good. I can’t get a flight and can’t get in to see him [the doctor] until Thursday." Jay Cox expressed concern about her well-being, but Pat had faith in his seasoned daughter and trusted her judgment. He mentioned that after the event, Jay, Jim Howe, and Dean Marinis confirmed that Lizzy performed flawlessly without missing a single beat.
In response to doubts about Lizzy's ability to handle pressure, Pat rhetorically asked once again, "And she can't handle pressure?" He firmly stated that those doubters have no idea what true pressure entails.

Currently, Lizzy is receiving treatment at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center for her stage four breast cancer diagnosis.
