In an impressive display of skill and experience, Roach, a seasoned competitor in the series, emerged triumphant by defeating Lizzy Musi in the first round and Giuseppe Gentile in the semifinals. On the other hand, Morton showcased her prowess by defeating Jim Howe (driving John Odom's Nissan GTR) in a race that followed his incident the previous weekend in Minnesota. She then went on to narrowly defeat the dominant Kye Kelley in an intense semifinal showdown. Notably, Chase Driskell, who tunes the cars for both Roach and Morton, had a remarkable night as well.

In the final round, Morton's Mustang crept past the finish line before the green light, resulting in an automatic win for Roach without even leaving the starting line.
Roach's victory propelled him to the top of the Great 8 points leaderboard, surpassing Ryan Martin. Morton's appearance in the final round led her to join a five-way tie for second place, along with Martin, Kelley, Gentile, and David Gates.
