Swanstrom's Tough Break
First up, Justin Swanstrom faced some serious challenges. During the qualifier round, Swanstrom hurt his motor while going up against Alex Laughlin. Initially, Justin put Alex on a two-minute clock but later decided to give Alex more time. This decision ended up backfiring as it led to a pedal fest, with Swanstrom ultimately losing to Alex.
Close Calls and Big Wins
The action didn’t stop there. Jerry Bird took out Clay Cole in a race where both drivers had to pedal hard. Kye Kelly managed to edge out Jeff Lutz in a very tight race, showcasing her skills on the track. Murder Nova and Jim Howe had their first-ever matchup, which turned out to be another close race. Murder Nova took the win by getting the jump on Jim at the start and holding onto the lead.
Ryan Martin showed his prowess by taking out Larry Larson, while Cody took down Dominator. Kayla also secured a victory against Bobby. One of the most interesting stories of the night was Giuseppe Gentile. After losing in the bracket-setting round, he drew the lucky chip to get back into the show. Not only did he make it back, but he also won the first round of the winners bracket in an incredibly close race against Paige Coughlin.
