The Street Outlaws scene continues to heat up, and this time, it’s not just about the No Prep Kings (NPK) series. Several top racers from NPK have started expressing serious interest in Pro Mod racing, with some even building or purchasing new cars for the upcoming winter series.

One of the most exciting developments is Nate Sayler, who’s currently working on building a brand-new Pro Mod for this winter's racing season. The buzz around this project is gaining traction, and fans can’t wait to see what unfolds.
NPK Racers Embrace Pro Mod Action
It’s not just Nate Sayler who’s making waves in the Pro Mod world. There’s been a noticeable uptick in NPK racers wanting to take a crack at Eighth Mile Pro Mod racing after the NPK season wraps up. Names like Scott Taylor, Kye Kelly (who's showing some interest), Justin Swanstrom, and Mike Bowman have been floating around, all of whom are either building or considering building cars for the winter series. It’s exciting to think about the level of talent from NPK possibly crossing over to Pro Mod races like the World Series of Pro Mod and the Snowbirds.

As a fan of Street Outlaws, it’s amazing to see these racers testing their skills in another arena. The Pro Mod series, especially in the Eighth Mile format, showcases some of the best door car racing in the world. While NHRA’s quarter-mile racing is also impressive, there’s something about the raw intensity of Eighth Mile racing that hits differently. It’s fast-paced, high-stakes, and for many racers and fans, the ultimate proving ground.
Nate Sayler’s New Pro Mod Car
One of the most exciting projects on the horizon is Nate Sayler’s new build. As of now, Sayler’s new car is being crafted by RG Race Cars, a name that’s known for building some serious machines. While we don’t know all the details about this new ride, it’s safe to say it’ll have ProCharger power under the hood. With Lee White likely handling the tuning duties, we can expect some serious performance out of this car. White is known as one of the best tuners in the business, and with his expertise, Sayler’s new build is definitely one to watch out for.

What This Means for the Future of Street Outlaws
While the excitement around Pro Mod is real, it doesn’t mean that the NPK series is going anywhere. In fact, new NPK cars are already being built for next season, and fans can rest assured that the series will be back. However, the Pro Mod winter series gives these racers a chance to test their skills in a new environment during the NPK offseason. It’s an opportunity to race, compete, and stay sharp while also exploring different avenues of door car racing.

Earlier this year, we saw several Street Outlaws racers test their Pro Mod mettle, with drivers like Justin Swanstrom, Chuck 55, and Mike Bowman competing in events like the World Series of Pro Mod. Bowman even claimed victory at the inaugural World Series of Pro Mod back in 2017, proving that Street Outlaws racers can definitely hold their own in the world of Pro Mod racing.
Wrapping Up
As the NPK season winds down, all eyes will be on the racers who are making the leap into Pro Mod action. Whether it’s the established pros like Mike Bowman or newcomers like Nate Sayler, this crossover promises to bring some exciting matchups in the world of door car racing. At Street Outlaws Talks, we’re all about following the journeys of these racers, and we can’t wait to see what they’ll bring to the Pro Mod scene this winter.
