Exciting Qualifier Matchups
The first round of qualifier matchups is packed with head-to-head battles that promise to be nothing short of thrilling. Here’s a quick rundown of who’s facing off:
Kayla Morton vs. Daddy Dave: An exciting matchup that will set the tone for the rest of the qualifiers.
Cole Pesz vs. Ryan Martin: Cole Pesz is up against the seasoned Ryan Martin, known for his speed and strategy on the track.
Chris Rankin vs. Nate Sayler: This race could be anyone’s game, and both drivers are looking to make their mark.
Scott Taylor vs. Clay Cole: With both racers being strong contenders, this will be a race to watch closely.
Jimmy Taylor vs. Robin Roberts: Jimmy and Robin are ready to show off what their cars can do.
Birdman vs. Alex Laughlin: A clash of titans that promises high-octane drama.
Justin Swanstrom vs. Paige Coughlin: This race includes a $1,500 side bet, adding an extra layer of excitement.
Chuck Seitsinger vs. Jerry Bird: Expect fireworks when these two hit the track.
Giuseppe vs. Bobby Ducote: A matchup that has everyone on the edge of their seats.
Murder Nova vs. Jim Howe: One of the most anticipated races, with both cars known for their speed and power.
Doc Love vs. Jeff Lutz: Two experienced racers going head-to-head.
Kye Kelly vs. B-Rad: This race is sure to be a showdown, especially considering Kai’s recent performances.
Disco Dean Gets the Bye
Interestingly, Disco Dean gets an automatic bye into the first round of the winners bracket. Dean is currently ranked number five in points, and while he might not have the fastest car out there, his consistency has been key this season. His screw-blown car may not be the absolute quickest, but it’s certainly been reliable, earning him a solid position in the standings.
Key Matchups to Watch
Ryan Martin vs. Cole Pesz: Ryan Martin, a fan favorite, will be racing against Cole Pesz, who’s been steadily improving. Cole has a beautiful new Mustang equipped with a PJ’s 49 Hemi combination, the same engine that powers Jim Howe’s incredibly fast car. If Cole can harness that power and control, this race could be closer than people expect.

Murder Nova vs. Jim Howe: Another highly anticipated matchup is between Murder Nova and Jim Howe. Both cars are among the fastest on the track right now. With Murder Nova currently sitting at number three in points, a loss here could shake things up. They’ve raced twice before, with each taking a win. This will be their tiebreaker, and both racers will be eager to prove they’re the best.
Kye Kelly vs. B-Rad: Kye Kelly is racing Brad again this week, and this is a matchup everyone’s been waiting for. Kai’s new car is incredibly fast, but on a true no-prep surface like Idaho’s, anything can happen. Can Kye maintain control and speed without losing grip or, worse, crashing? We’ll have to wait and see!
