Ryan Martin's Phoenix Camaro Update after His Incident at Perth Motorplex!

Updated: Jul 7, 2023

After all the time and effort we put into our cars, ending up in an accident can feel like the absolute worst thing that could possibly happen.

Sure, when we saw the incident with Ryan Martin’s Phoenix Camaro, everyone felt fortunate to see the driver walk away. However, at the moment, it’s kind of hard to be happy about your health when your heart also feels the weight of your pride and joy being wadded up into a ball of recycling metal.

When the Phoenix did end up getting into an incident, things didn’t exactly look great. The first-generation Camaro made a move toward the wall when he shut it down. The champion driver tried to steer out of trouble but the car made contact with the retaining wall. I think that a lot of spectators thought that this might’ve been the end of this car at the No Prep Kings Australian tour. However, the vehicle damage isn't too bad; the chassis appears to be fixable. Martin admits that the main challenge is finding a replacement nose and hood. The team is determined to make repairs and compete in the final three events on the Street Outlaws' Australian schedule.

As update on Fireball Camaro page, Ryan Martin successfully found a shop in Sydney to fix it. The boys from Moits Motorcars actually “lent” Ryan his front-end because getting a carbon fiber front-end for a first-generation Camaro in Australia is extremely hard. It means that they actually took the front-end of their own car to put it on Ryan’s car. They did work hard and got all hands to make the next race which is on this Friday and Saturday.

Not long ago, Ryan has updated on his Facebook page that his Phoenix Camaro is in the container and heading to Willowbank Raceway. With a display like this, we just can’t help it feel like where there’s a will, there’s a way. It’s amazing to see what talent and effort can do when applied just right.

Let’s see how good of a show is going to be this weekend!
