What’s up, Street Outlaws fans! Big things are heating up as we inch closer to the 2025 season of Speed Promotions (formerly known as No Prep Kings), and none other than Murder Nova is already making serious noise.

If you’ve been following the scene, you know Sean Ellington—aka Murder Nova—absolutely dominated Season 7 of No Prep Kings. He was the picture of consistency last year, locking down the #1 spot in both the regular and elite points standings. It wasn’t even close. The man earned that championship, no doubt about it.
But here’s where it gets really exciting. Murder Nova isn’t sitting back and coasting into the new season—he’s coming out swinging with a brand-new combo that’s got the whole no prep world buzzing.
Nitrous Meets ProCharger: A Power Combo with No Rules Holding It Back
For 2025, Sean’s running nitrous on top of his ProCharger setup. Yes, you read that right. With the new Speed Promotions rules ditching the usual restrictions on power adders and overdrives, racers have the green light to push things to the limit—as long as they’re still running a door car.

Murder Nova is now spraying nitrous externally onto the ProCharger, which not only helps cool the intake air (a major power booster in itself), but also feeds nitrous directly into the motor. That’s double trouble for the competition.
It's a bold move, but exactly the kind of innovation we expect from Sean and the 187 Customs crew.
Testing Carnage and That Mysterious Flying Door...
During a recent test session, things got a little wild. Murder Nova reportedly blew a door off the car—yeah, literally. While it’s not clear if the car just made too much power or if it was a mechanical issue (they’ve had door problems before), the aftermath looked intense. That door was destroyed.
We’re all waiting on the edge of our seats for 187 Customs to drop the video on their YouTube channel showing exactly what went down. You know it’s going to be good when there’s mystery, damage, and Sean going wide open in a new setup.

They were also testing the OG Murder Nova, so we could be seeing that classic beast back in the mix soon too. Talk about a two-car threat!
A Big Season Ahead
Speed Promotions kicks off in just a few weeks, and this season is shaping up to be one of the wildest yet. We're talking seven races for the championship, three races up in Canada, and two massive $100,000-to-win small tire events—one on a prepped surface and one no prep. That’s a lot of money and a lot of fast cars coming our way.
If Murder Nova can keep that new setup consistent—especially with a second power adder in play—there’s no doubt he’ll be a front-runner again. The man knows how to make power and put it down.
So stay locked in with us here at Street Outlaws Talks—we’re going to be covering every test session, every big reveal, and every race of the 2025 Speed Promotions season. We’re not just fans—we’re part of the culture.
