Points leader Ryan Martin are heading into Alabama International Dragway with only 3 other drivers who mathematically have a shot at the Championship title and those are Kye Kelley, Justin Swanstrom and Jeff Lutz. This event was added following the non-filming at Tulsa Raceway Park in August due to the death of Street Outlaws producer Mike Helmann.

However, Ryan Martin couldn’t stay as even as possible with Kye Kelley in the main event as he was defeated by Kayla Morton in the semi-finals. While Kye got the win over Jeff Lutz to advance to the finals against Morton.

For the second time this year, we have Kayla Morton in the finals and Kye has a quite a few things to worry about in this final and one of the biggest problems that Kayla Morton has taken Ryan Martin out in the semi-finals. Finally, Street Outlaws No Prep Kings star Kayla Morton has won the second-to-last race of the season by defeating Kye Kelley on Saturday night finals.

That means that Kayla’s team is on point in Alabama and their tune works in their Hot Mess Express Mustang, even against the number one in points Ryan Martin so we believe that she is feeling very good as she is putting her car thru the staging lanes.

While Kayla is not in the running for the championship, at the moment Ryan Martin is still able to step towards claiming the title. As Kayla defeated Kye Kelley, the difference in points is eighty points, which we are sure he would prefer before heading into the last race of season.

This was Kelley’s third straight loss in the final round. He has dropped five final rounds on the season: one recent loss to Jeff Lutz last weekend at Rockingham Dragway in Rockingham, one loss to Jim Howe at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. Earlier in the season, Kelley was also defeated twice by Martin in the finals.
The points will be double at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas, Kelley will go to the final race just 80 points behind and need Martin to go out early to have a chance to win the championship.
With the win, Kayla Morton now has 345 points. She is in sixth place with a chance to conclude the season in the top 5. Together with this win in Alabama, she also won the No Prep Kings filming event at Tucson Dragway in Tucson, Arizona.
