Kye Kelley Eyeing Pro Mod Partnership for Upcoming Racing Season

Hey, Street Outlaws fans! Today, we’re diving into some exciting news about one of the biggest names in street racing, Kye Kelley. If you’ve been following the scene, you know Kye Kelley is always pushing the envelope, and it looks like he’s setting his sights on a new challenge: Pro Mod racing!

Kye Kelley’s Pro Mod Ambitions

Kye Kelley recently announced that he’s exploring a partnership to enter the Pro Mod racing world. Whether he's looking to partner up with an existing Pro Mod team, buy a Pro Mod car, or create something entirely new, it’s clear that Kye is ready to shake things up. For those who might not know, Pro Mod racing is one of the most exhilarating and competitive forms of drag racing. It features high-powered cars, crazy speeds, and some of the most thrilling eighth-mile races you'll ever see.

Why Pro Mod?

So, why is Pro Mod racing becoming such a hot topic among the Street Outlaws crew? Well, it's simple. Pro Mod races come with massive payouts, intense competition, and a chance to prove yourself against some of the best racers in the world. It's no wonder Kye Kelley, along with other Street Outlaws like Jim Howe, Justin Swanstrom, and Mike Bowman, are getting involved in this exciting racing category.

Mike Bowman, for instance, has already thrown his hat in the ring, winning the first-ever "Race of the World" Pro Mod back in 2017. And let's not forget that Kye Kelley just ran a 3.69 with his steel-bodied car in the Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA). That’s incredibly impressive, especially since his No Prep Kings (NPK) car is quite different from a Pro Mod. It’s not an extended wheelbase aerodynamic car, yet Kye still managed to qualify and make it through the first round. This just shows his potential in Pro Mod racing.

The Competitive Edge

What makes this move so interesting is the potential crossover of skills and experience. If Kye can take the drivetrain from his NPK car – one of the best in the game – and put it into a Pro Mod that’s optimized for the minimum weight and maximum aerodynamics, there’s no telling how competitive he could be. His recent success shows that he's more than capable of holding his own against seasoned Pro Mod racers.

Imagine a Street Outlaw racing against some of the most elite Pro Mod racers in the world and coming out on top. It would not only be a huge win for Kye but also for the entire Street Outlaws community. It would prove that our racers are not just competitive in the NPK scene but can also dominate in other formats like the tough, eighth-mile prep track door car racing.

What’s Next?

The future looks bright and full of opportunities. With several big races on the horizon, like the Snowbirds and the World Series of Pro Mod, we’re excited to see if Kye Kelley makes his Pro Mod debut soon. A successful partnership or acquisition could lead to a game-changing season, showcasing that the Street Outlaws aren’t just about no-prep racing; they can compete with the best in any racing arena.
