Justin Swanstrom Set to Make a Powerful Return to RVW in Blood Money with a New Noonan Combo

Street Outlaws star Justin Swanstrom is gearing up for a major comeback to Radio Versus the World (RVW) racing this November, and it’s safe to say fans are in for a thrill. Swanstrom, known for his fierce competitiveness and high-octane performances in the No Prep Kings (NPK) series, is now bringing his promod “Blood Money” back to the RVW stage. But this isn’t just any return—he’s coming back with a brand-new powerhouse engine combination that promises to shake things up on the track.

The New Setup: More Power, More Speed

For those familiar with Justin’s recent exploits in the NPK series, you know he’s no stranger to big tire setups and serious horsepower. However, his upcoming appearance in RVW will see him running Blood Money with a completely new engine setup featuring a Noonan screw-blown motor, built specifically for high overdrive.

In the NPK series, Justin has been running his engines at 98% overdrive. But for this RVW comeback, he's turning up the heat to 125% overdrive—an enormous increase that’s bound to make a huge impact on Blood Money's performance. The higher overdrive will allow the engine to make significantly more power, which is exactly what you need to compete in the high-stakes world of radial tire racing.

It’s also worth noting that Justin has had only limited testing time with Blood Money in this specific configuration. However, this new Noonan engine, built to handle the rigors of RVW racing, could be the game changer Swanstrom needs to make a big splash.

A Return to RVW: What to Expect

This isn’t Swanstrom’s first time racing in RVW. Back in 2018 and 2019, he ran a nitrous-powered Pro Mod in the class, achieving solid times in the 3.60s range. While impressive for a nitrous combination, the screw-blown setup he’s bringing now is on a whole different level. The potential of this new combo is massive, especially when you consider the performances being thrown down by top-tier RVW competitors.

Take Stevie “Fast” Jackson, for example. He recently hit 212 mph and a 3.52-second ET (elapsed time) in his screw-blown setup. Those are jaw-dropping numbers, and if Justin’s new setup is anything like it, fans can expect some serious speed when Blood Money hits the strip.

The challenge, of course, is that RVW racing is highly competitive. Justin will be squaring off against some of the best radial tire racers in the world, but with his new screw-blown Noonan setup, he’s got a real shot at making his mark. And let’s not forget, RVW racing often takes place on unprepped tracks, making the choice of a screw blower—rather than a ProCharger setup—a smart move for consistent performance.

The Journey So Far

Swanstrom’s journey in Street Outlaws and NPK has been nothing short of impressive. His rise through the ranks, marked by consistent wins and a fearless approach, has made him a fan favorite. His promod, Blood Money, has already proven itself in the World Series of Pro Mod, where Justin ran solid times with very little test time. Despite limited experience on big tires, he managed to go 3.73 seconds—showing that there’s a lot of potential left to unlock.

Now, as he turns his focus back to radial tire racing, fans are excited to see how far this new combination can take him. With the added power and a setup designed specifically for the demands of RVW, Justin is poised to make a serious impact.

Looking Ahead: What’s Next for Swanstrom?

As we get closer to November and Justin’s highly anticipated return to RVW, all eyes will be on Blood Money and what it can do with the new Noonan motor. The competition is fierce, but Justin has never shied away from a challenge. Whether he’s racing in NPK or taking on the heavy hitters in RVW, he’s always bringing his A-game.
