John Odom Returns to No Prep Kings at Empire Dragway

Hello Street Outlaw fans! This is your go-to spot for all things Street Outlaws No Prep Kings. Today, we're excited to talk about John Odom's return to the No Prep Kings series this weekend at Empire Dragway in New York.

John Odom made an appearance at the first race of No Prep Kings Season 7 but faced issues in round one. Unfortunately, this led him to miss the second and third races. However, he’s set to make a strong comeback this weekend, which is shaping up to be a crucial race. Why is it so important? Because it’s the first race where the championship points for the season will start counting!

We still have 11 races to go, including this weekend’s event, to determine the season's champion. This year’s season is a bit shorter than previous ones, but the introduction of the winners' and losers' brackets promises to make it more exciting.

John Odom will be driving his GTR, which likely features the same setup as last season. This includes an older style Hemi Brad 6 headed motor paired with a screw blower, capable of delivering impressive power. The car has run in the 3.70s with this setup before, and with Jim Howe tuning it, it’s bound to be a formidable contender.

The competition is heating up as we hope to see more racers return to the track. Last week’s main event saw only 18 cars, and the week before had 24. While we might not have a full field this weekend, we’re expecting over 24 cars, ensuring a thrilling showdown.

A special shoutout to the NPK team for their phenomenal job with the live feed on YouTube. They’ve been continually improving the experience, and we can’t wait to see what they bring this weekend.

As for the weather, the air density will range between 2,000 and 2,800 feet. While it might not be as good as recent events, it’s still decent for screw blower, Pro Charger, and nitro cars. Turbo cars, known for their consistent power output, should perform well regardless of air conditions.

This weekend promises to be a high-octane event as we kick off the race for the No Prep Kings Season 7 Championship. Stay tuned for round-by-round points updates and make sure to watch the live feed on the Street Outlaws YouTube channel.
