JJ da Boss, the star of the reality TV show Street Outlaws: Memphis, has been banned from hosting or participating in any events at Darlington Dragway in South Carolina after he performed a reckless stunt that put himself and others at risk. The incident, which happened last weekend, has sparked a lot of controversy and criticism in the drag racing community.
JJ da Boss, whose real name is Jonathan Day, is known for his street racing antics and his arm drop events, where he organizes races between different teams of street racers. He is also a regular on the Street Outlaws franchise, which features various groups of street racers competing against each other on public roads or tracks.
Last weekend, JJ da Boss was hosting an arm drop event at Darlington Dragway, where he decided to do something that shocked and angered many people. He got behind the wheel of his 1966 Chevy Nova, nicknamed Ole Heavy, and drove it down the track at full speed, while holding a passenger in his lap.

The stunt was captured on video and posted on social media, where it quickly went viral and drew a lot of negative reactions. Many viewers expressed their disbelief and outrage at JJ da Boss for endangering Randy - the passenger and himself, as well as the spectators and other racers at the event. They also questioned his judgment and responsibility as a role model for the younger generation of drag racing fans.

As a result of his stunt, JJ da Boss has been banned from Darlington Dragway, which issued a statement on its Facebook page, saying that it does not condone or support such behavior and that it will not host any more events involving JJ da Boss or his crew. The statement also apologized to the fans and the sponsors for the incident and thanked them for their support.

In addition, the World Drag Racing Alliance (WDRA), which is the sanctioning body for Darlington Dragway, has terminated its agreement with the track, effective immediately. The WDRA said that it was disappointed and appalled by JJ da Boss’s stunt and that it violated its safety standards and policies. The WDRA also said that it will not sanction any events involving JJ da Boss or his crew at any of its affiliated tracks.

The stunt by JJ da Boss has cast a shadow over his reputation and his show, Street Outlaws: Memphis, which is a spin-off of the original Street Outlaws show that features the 405 crew from Oklahoma City. Street Outlaws: Memphis, which premiered in 2018, follows JJ da Boss and his team of street racers, known as the Memphis Street Outlaws, as they challenge other teams from across the country.
It is unclear whether Street Outlaws: Memphis will return for another season, as the show has not been officially renewed or canceled by the Discovery Channel, which airs the Street Outlaws franchise. However, some fans have speculated that the show might be over, as JJ da Boss and his crew have not been very active on social media lately and have not announced any upcoming events or appearances.

However, JJ da Boss and his crew might still appear on other Street Outlaws shows, such as Street Outlaws: America’s List, which features the top 20 street racers from different regions competing for the title of the fastest in the nation. JJ da Boss and some of his MSO members were part of the first season of America’s List, which aired earlier this year.
Regardless of whether JJ da Boss and his crew will continue to be on TV or not, their stunt at Darlington Dragway has certainly damaged their image and credibility in the drag racing community and among the fans. Many people have lost respect and admiration for JJ the Boss, who is seen as a reckless and irresponsible street racer who does not care about the safety and the rules of the sport.
