Jeff Lutz VS Kye Kelley - Who Rocks at NPK Rockingham Invitational Finals

Another weekend was full of adrenaline and some insane crashes from Street Outlaws No Prep Kings. Once again we are bringing you the Invitational finals from Rockingham Dragway and this time, we have a couple of familiar faces.

On the left lane we have Jeff Lutz and his GTO winning over Giuseppe. On the other right lane we have Kye Kelley and his Camaro who defeated B-Rad in the semi-finals.

If we take a look at the total No Prep Kings Championship points, we find that Ryan Martin is now being followed by non-other than Kye Kelley. The final itself suggests that Kye Kelley might be able to reduce the points advantage that Ryan Martin has at the moment and if he is able to get in front of Jeff, well things might be much more interesting in the final races of the season. Kye Kelley has only two invitational wins this season after being in the finals (including this one) nine times. On the other hand, Ryan has amassed 13 wins out of the 15 finals that he has been a part of.

Jeff Lutz has had a tough year, but he ended the Invitational Finals at Rockingham on a high note. He defeated Kye Kelley in the final round at Rockingham Dragway in Rockingham, North Carolina. This was Lutz’s first No Prep Kings win of the season. However, it was the second time that he had advanced to final round. Together with Jeff Lutz, Kayla Morton, Jerry Bird and Jim Howe were all first-time winners in the series.

The No Prep Kings Championship is still up for grabs. Ryan Martin is still leading with 590 points. Kye Kelley closed the gap on Ryan with 65 points behind. Jeff Lutz moved up to the fourth place in points, while Justin Swanstrom is in third place.

Next weekend, the teams will be competing at Alabama International Dragway. This event was added following the non-filming at Tulsa Raceway Park in August due to the death of Street Outlaws producer Mike Helmann. After the Alabama event, the teams will conclude the 2022 schedule at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas at the end of the month.
