When it comes to iconic cars in the Street Outlaws world, Goliath has always been one of the most recognizable. From its time tearing up the streets to running hard on the No Prep Kings scene, this beast has seen it all. Now, it’s turning heads once again—but this time, it’s doing it with a fresh new look under the hood… in Brazil.

At Street Outlaws Talks, we’re always keeping an eye on the cars that helped shape the scene, and Goliath is no exception. Recently, photos surfaced of Goliath 2.0 rocking a roots-style blower setup, ditching the ProCharger that Daddy Dave had been running when the car was still in his stable. It’s a bold change—and it’s already making noise.
From Oklahoma to Brazil: Goliath’s Journey
Dave originally sold the car in 2024, and it’s now living its next chapter in Brazil. The new owner didn’t waste any time making upgrades, and one of the first big changes was swapping out the ProCharger for a Mike Janis roots blower. Visually, the setup looks mean—massive blower sticking out of the hood, giving it that old-school muscle feel with modern horsepower behind it.
But looks aren’t the only thing changing.

Why the Switch?
When Dave was racing Goliath with the ProCharger setup, the car was no joke. It was pulling 3.70s at around 2,800 lbs—a serious combo. However, on one of the car’s first passes after being sold, the ProCharger let go in a big way. There’s even a video of the explosion over on Daddy Dave’s YouTube channel.
Maybe it was bad luck, or maybe the new owner just wanted to try something different, but that ProCharger setup is history. Now it’s all about that roots blower life.
Roots Blower: Pros and Cons
Let’s be real—a ProCharger setup is going to be more efficient overall. Roots blowers look incredible and are super fun to watch, but they tend to heat up the intake air a lot more and suck more power just to turn them. They’re not as efficient as a centrifugal blower, and they’re definitely not on the same level as a screw blower when it comes to outright performance.
Still, the roots blower gives the car a gnarly, raw vibe that’s hard to beat. And for racing in places like Brazil, where rules, conditions, and crowd energy are a little different, it just fits.

Goliath’s Long List of Combos
Goliath has been through just about every combo you can imagine. It started with a 632 nitrous motor, moved to a ProCharged big block Chevy, then a ProCharged 41X, then twin turbo, and finally a ProCharged Hemi before being sold. Just about the only thing it hasn’t had yet is a screw blower—but who knows, that might still be in the cards one day.
What’s Next?
As of now, the car is reportedly being raced down in Brazil with Luis Leon and the FuelTech crew. Brazilian drag racing is no joke—tons of fast cars, passionate fans, and a serious love for American muscle. Seeing Goliath tear it up down there is going to be a treat.
At the end of the day, this car has a lot of history and even more life left in it. And honestly? With the roots blower poking through the hood, Goliath just might look cooler than it ever has before.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for race footage and more updates from Brazil, so stay tuned right here at Street Outlaws Talks—where real street racing stories live.
