Hey there, Street Outlaws fans! It's time for another scoop on what's happening in the world of No Prep Kings. Today, let's dive into Chris Rankin's fresh look for Season 7 and whether his switch to a twin-turbo setup will put him in the game.

Last season, Chris made his mark on NPK with a daring move – running a twin-turbo 41x combination. Now, that's not something you see every day, folks. Apart from Chuck Seitsinger, hardly anyone's been brave enough to rock that setup in recent years. Sure, Ryan Martin pulled off a win back in 2019 with it, but it's been a dry spell since then.
So, what's the deal with twin turbos, you ask? Well, they've got some perks, but consistency ain't their strong suit. Plus, they're not rolling on those forgiving 36-inch tall tires that give other setups a traction advantage, especially in the latter half of the track.
But Chris ain't backing down. He's sticking with the twin-turbo 41x combo for this season, and we're hoping he's dialed in some consistency since last year. Sure, he had some fast runs and even smoked a few ProCharger and screw cars, but it was the lack of consistency that held him back.

Now, here's the kicker – Chris is running at minimum weight this time around. That should give him a little edge. But the real challenge? His setup doesn't pack the same punch as those Hemi engines, yet he's gotta weigh in the same. Talk about an uphill battle.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again – maybe the twin-turbo 41x or even the ProCharger 41x combos deserve a weight break compared to those Hemi monsters. But hey, rules are rules, right?
Oh, and let's not forget about his transmission setup. Last season, he ditched the lockup combo, but who knows? He might be giving it another shot this time.

We caught a glimpse of Chris's ride at the World Cup finals, tearing it up in the quarter-mile. If the tracks are good and those twin turbos can find their groove, we might just see him making some waves this season.
So, buckle up, folks. No Prep Kings Season 7 is shaping up to be one heck of a ride, and Chris Rankin's bringing his A-game – twin turbos and all. Let's see if he's got what it takes to shake up the competition. Stay tuned for more updates on StreetOutlawsTalks.com!
