Big Upsets in No Prep Kings Washington: Round One & Winners Bracket Update

Hello, Street Outlaws Talks fans! The No Prep Kings (NPK) event in Washington has been nothing short of electrifying, with some major upsets and unexpected results in the first round. The competition is heating up, and we’re here to give you the lowdown on all the action from the winners bracket.

Jim Howe vs. Jeff Lutz: A Battle with Bad Blood

The match-up between Jim Howe and Jeff Lutz was one everyone had their eyes on, not just because of the racing, but because of the lingering tension between these two. After a bit of back-and-forth in the past, this race was their chance to settle the score on the track.

Jim Howe, who got lucky yesterday with the Lucky Chip, wasn’t leaving anything to chance this time. After a late-night engine rebuild (talk about dedication!), Jim came out swinging and took down Jeff Lutz in a thrilling race. It was a well-deserved win for Jim, who’s had more than his fair share of bad luck in NPK. Here’s hoping this victory helps put the bad blood behind them.

Kye Kelly vs. Cole Pesz: A Close Call

Kye Kelly is a name everyone fears on the track, but newcomer Cole Pesz gave him a run for his money. Cole’s car, which is practically brand new, has only a handful of passes under its belt. Despite that, Cole nearly pulled off an upset against Kye, who’s got one of the fastest cars in NPK. Cole may not have taken the win, but he certainly turned some heads. Watch out for him in the coming rounds—he’s only going to get faster.

Robin Roberts Takes Down Daddy Dave

In another big race, Robin Roberts managed to edge out Daddy Dave. Both drivers are seasoned veterans, and this was a race that could have gone either way. Robin’s car was dialed in perfectly, while Daddy Dave struggled to find his rhythm. In the end, Robin crossed the line first, adding another impressive win to his NPK resume.

Murder Nova vs. Justin Swanstrom: A One-Sided Affair

Murder Nova, a fan favorite, had a relatively easy time against Justin Swanstrom. Justin’s car didn’t even get off the line properly, handing the win to Murder Nova without much of a fight. It’s always disappointing to see a race end like that, but as we know, anything can happen in No Prep racing.

Disco Dean vs. Chris Rankin: New Cars, New Challenges

Disco Dean went head-to-head with Chris Rankin, and it was clear that Chris is still working out the kinks in his new setup. Despite the struggles, Chris put up a solid effort, but Disco’s car was just too fast. Disco has been on a tear lately, and his car looks to be one of the top contenders in the field.

The Slowest Race: Scott Taylor vs. Jerry Bird

Not every race can be a barn burner, and that was certainly the case with Scott Taylor and Jerry Bird. Both cars seemed to have issues after the 330-foot mark, resulting in one of the slowest races we’ve seen in a while. It’s unclear what happened, but neither car was able to make a full pass, leaving fans scratching their heads.

Paige Coughlin Stuns Ryan Martin

The biggest upset of the day came when Paige Coughlin took down Ryan Martin. Ryan is usually a lock to go deep in these events, but something went wrong just after the 60-foot mark, and his car never recovered. Paige, who has been steadily improving with every race, took full advantage of the situation and cruised to a victory. This is a huge win for her and a reminder that in NPK, anything can happen.
